Alternatively, customers can also check their free local balance at any point by dialing *118# from their mobile phones. The pack comes with a validity of 30 days.

S Tel Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between Siva Group and BMIC Limited, a subsidiary of Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco) has commenced its services in Odisha after launching its telecom services in Himachal Pradesh last week. Telecom circles for which S Tel has licences are Bihar & Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and North East. By year end, S Tel’s mobile services will be available in Bihar & Jharkhand and will be accessible by customers in Assam and North East by first quarter of 2010.

The company will commence operations beginning with the Himachal Pradesh telecom circle where services are expected to be launched within this week. Telecom circles for which S Tel has licences are Odisha, Bihar & Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and North East.
