Reliance Mobile has introduced the call manager service on its GSM network on supporting handsets. This unique service enables Reliance mobile subscribers a wide range of call completion service. Offered through a server-less client protocol, the Call Manager service enables allows customers to respond to incoming calls with pre-recorded voice messages. The Call Manager also features SMS based chatting and voice mail on mobile.

It allows one to respond to answer phone calls without any need to talk or type, using an intuitive user interface.

Reliance Webstore and Coolpad Communications have commenced the market roll-out of Coolpad smartphones in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka with the launch of Coolpad 2938 dual-mode smartphone. The Coolpad 2938 dual-mode touchscreen smartphone supports both CDMA and GSM connections, with two neatly labelled SIM card slots. The GSM SIM is tri-band, while for CDMA it supports 800 MHz. There are separate calling keys for GSM and CDMA. It allows selection of the preferred network (GSM or CDMA) and the option to make both networks to function simultaneously.

The touchscreen has enhanced response capabilities and supports handwriting recognition along with the traditional onscreen keyboard for typing messages.

It features international roaming support to help users stay in touch whether they travel around the corner or around the world. The BlackBerry Tour is a feature packed and high refined smartphone, and it will be available nationally from October 12th for Rs 27990. As a special promotion from Reliance Mobile for pre-booking customers, users will be able to enjoy two months of free BlackBerry Internet Service on Reliance Mobile's CDMA network. Reliance Communications has rolled-out the Simply Reliance Plan nationally for both prepaid and postpaid customers. To avail this Simply Reliance Plan, existing or new prepaid customers have to purchase one time special tariff voucher for Rs.48 to enjoy lifetime validity.
