Reliance Communications launches website packages

They announced the launch of free website package for its Netconnect users. The package will include a domain name, website builder and 10 business email accounts on the domain name. With this people can now have their own website and attract newer customers even though they might not have the technical know-how or resources to create and host one.

The strategy might prove to be beneficial for Reliance as they are expanding their brand among various fields of Information and Technology. In the efforts to promote their internet services, they have come into a partnership with BigRock. BigRock is a website services provider in India and provides hosting and domain services for individuals and companies. BigRock will enable Reliance Netconnect users to establish and grow their online presence; build their own websites from scratch using a very intuitive- but powerful- feature rich, and user friendly website builder package.

The launch was announced by Mr. Prashant Gokarn of Reliance Communications who said, “This opportunity will significantly boost web presence for our Netconnect subscribers. This can also be done by calling the Reliance Netconnect customer care at 1800 3000 5555, or by registering at the Netconnect website www.reliancenetconnect.co.in. The users will be sent a coupon code on their registered email address and process for availing the offer will also be explained in the email. The users can redeem this coupon code and get the website package free of cost. The service is free for the first year of registration. After the first year, the customers will pay the prevailing fee to BigRock if they wish to continue the service.

Reliance (Karnataka) launches “Century Pack” for Cricket World Cup.

Reliance launches 3G in Jharkhand

Cities like Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, & Jharia have been 3G-ed. Reliance Communication has launched its 3G services in Jharkhand and it covers the major 6 cities of the state in its first phase. Reliance Communications has now become the first private operator to launch 3G services in Jharkhand.

Reliance has proved its capability of providing 3G services to major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chandigarh. By the end of 2011, Reliance Communications will launch the 3G services across 13 telecom circles where they hold 3G licenses. The company claimed that they will be using ‘IP backhaul’ which will provide maximum download speeds and minimum latency. They also claimed that the 3G network will be able to provide speeds of up to 28 Mbps. Reliance Communications had emerged as the winner in 13 key telecom circles during the 3G auction including the key metros of Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.  Reliance Communications holds 3G licenses in the telecom circles of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, North East, Jammu & Kashmir, Orissa and Assam.

Reliance Communications Launches “Job Search on Voice”

reliance-job-searchReliance Communications introduces Reliance Job Search on Voice - a first-of-its-kind voice enabled job search services for its customers. ‘Reliance Job Search on Voice’ service is a real-time connection between the recruiter and the candidates and is initiated by playing the phone number of the employer to the job seeker which  enables the job seeker to listen to the job announcements and the recruiter can listen to profiles of hundreds of candidates that matches his requirement.

With this process, Job seekers in the Formal Segment (IT, BPO, Banking, and Manufacturing etc) can submit their job profile and browse through hundreds of matching jobs (from Naukri, Monster, Click Jobs etc) and select suitable jobs to apply for. The Reliance Job search on Voice service will then provide Job seekers with details of the selected job via SMS. The job seekers under this segment will also be to fill up their job profiles and can browse through all the listings (from Babajob, Newspapers etc) which will help them select suitable jobs, for which, the phone number of the employer will be played to the user.

In the case of User generated content (job announcements) from recruiters, job seekers can select suitable jobs and the MSISDN (Mobile Station Integrated Services Digital Network) of the seeker will be shared with the recruiter. Furthermore, Informal Segment recruiters looking to hire a domestic help (Cook, Maid, Driver, Nanny etc) will be required to create a profile by mentioning job categories, location and salary. Users can listen to profiles of hundreds of candidates that match the requirement. MSISDN of these potential job seekers will be shared with the recruiter and will enable them to contact the seekers.

Reliance Mobile customers can avail these services by Dialing 58010 to subscribe. The subscription charges are Rs.30/30 days (auto-renewal) with fallback options of Rs.20/20 days and Rs.10/10 days. There are no browsing charges and acquisition and renewal grace period is 3 days. A Formal Segment Job seeker can also be an Informal Segment Job Poster and vice versa at no additional cost.

RCom Launches MCA 2.0, an Enhanced Missed Call Alerts Service

Reliance Customers will receive missed call alert as at present – which tells a subscriber if they have missed a call due to their phone being either out of coverage area, battery exhaustion, phone is busy or switched off. In addition, ‘Notify Me’ alerts the callers, whose attempt to ring someone have failed, that the called number is now available to receive a call from them.

The missed call notification sms will detail the calling party’s mobile number, time & date when the call was made, whereby calling parties will receive a sms saying that the called party is available to receive calls.To subscribe to this service, Reliance customers have to type "M" and send an SMS to 51234 (toll free). Customer will be charged Rs.15 for 30 days for unlimited alerts.

The offer is also available through Chat and Play e-recharge in all retails outlets serving Reliance GSM, CDMA and 3G customers including the company’s retail outlets of Reliance Mobile Stores and Reliance World outlets across India.

Reliance Mobile Introduces ‘Talk STD’ & ‘Talk LOCAL’ offers

Now, Reliance Mobile customers can call anywhere across India, across any network for as low as 33p/min effectively with STD @ Re1/3min and chat Local with 100 local mins free talk time @ Rs 28.

Talk STD offer can be activated by purchasing the Special Tariff Voucher at Rs.23 from Reliance relationship centres or other retail stores and Reliance World outlets across India. The validity of this pack is 30 days.

The offer is simple, a subscriber gets STD pulse of 3 mins and also it won’t require any change in their current local call tariff, which would remain as per base rate of subscriber (could be per minute/per second). The new Talk STD offer is available for all Reliance Subscribers(CDMA,GSM & 3G) across all plans.

Talk Local offer presents 100 mins free talk time for all local calls at a price of Rs 28, that is effective rate of 28p/ min and comes with the validity of 2 days. The offer is available for all 3G & GSM prepaid customers across India.
