MWC 2012: Panasonic announces the Eluga Power smartphone

Panasonic had earlier showed off its water-proof smartphone the Eluga. Now the company has announced a bigger version of the smartphone called the Eluga Power.

The device has some better specs than the Eluga and we aren’t complaining. It has a better processor and huge 5 inch display. The smartphone will have IP57 water and dustproofing, which sounds great.

Panasonic unveils the Eluga, a Waterproof Android Smartphone

Back in November Panasonic had revealed its plans to enter the European market with new smartphones and the company has kept on the promise and announced the Panasonic Eluga, which is an Android powered smartphone.

The weirdly named Eluga packs in nice bunch of specs. Coming in first is the 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor coupled with a 1 GB of RAM. Eluga sports a 4.3 inch OLED display with a qHD 960 x 530 pixels resolution.

Panasonic reveals Smartphone plans, shows off a new Smartphone

Panasonic has announced that it will be expanding its smartphone business to the European market in March 2012. The company also plans to see overseas smartphone sales to reach nine million units in fiscal year 2016, ending March 31, 2016, using Europe as a stepping stone to the global market.

Panasonic announces rugged ‘Toughpad’ Android tablets

Panasonic has announced a 10-inch and a 7-inch tablet that are said to be professional-grade Android-powered tablets that  are rugged and will be supported by an eco-system that includes an enterprise focused app store, peripherals, developer tools, deployment support and more.

The Toughpad A1 (10-inch model) will available first in Spring 2012 at $1299 and will offer optional 4G (LTE or WiMAX) mobile broadband as well as Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and satellite GPS.
