MTNL Delhi launches Prepaid 3G service with Lower tariff

State Operator MTNL Delhi launches Prepaid 3G Mobile service and also slashed its Postapaid 3G tariff more than 50% less from the existing 3G Plans. MTNL Delhi’s 3G Prepaid plans starts from Rs.250 and the revised postpaid 3G Tariff Plans now also same as new prepaid tariff plans.

Announcing the launch of the pre-paid 3G service, RSP Sinha said CMD of MTNL,the Company is launching 3G Jadoo Prepaid Services so that customer should be able to avail the latest 3G/3.5G services at an affordable price.Since pre-paid is the preferred by customers, the 3G service will be available for only one time charge of Rs 300 with lifetime validity, In addition, a subscriber can also choose any of the data coupons to avail free data downloads coupled with free video calling to suit ones individual requirement, Sinha said. Vodafone Essar has introduced two new Bonus Cards. Bonus Card 17 and Bonus Card 27 come with one month validity and are priced at Rs 17 and Rs 27 respectively. All Vodafone prepaid customers including the lifelong customers in Kolkata and rest of Bengal can enjoy the new Bonus Cards offer available across Stores and Ministores.

Vodafone Kolkata's prepaid customers now have the option to choose Bonus Card 17 instead of the earlier Bonus Card 29 for the Friends and Family offer. The Friends and Family offer allows Vodafone customers to make calls at 20 paisa per minute to any one Vodafone number, calls to other local numbers in West Bengal are charged at Re 1 per minute and all STD calls are charged at Rs. 1.50 per minute. Reliance Communications is planning to launch new advertising campaign for its nation-wide GSM services and is believed to be on the verge of signing Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan as its brand ambassador.
The Bollywood hunk, the brand new face of this leading Indian network, urges fans and subscribers of the service provider to never leave anything unsaid or undone... “Just pick up the phone, don’t wait... go for it!” is Hrithik’s powerful and heartfelt message in a new commercial.
According to sources, Reliance Communications is planning a Rs 150-crore media campaign for its GSM services featuring its new brand ambassador, Hrithik Roshan.
Sources said the company is in the final stages of signing an endorsement deal with Hrithik, who would be the official face for the company’s mobile, data and DTH businesses.
The three-year deal with Hrithik is believed to be worth over Rs five crore annually and excludes the fees payable for appearances and events, sources said adding the overall deal could touch Rs 10 crore annually. The new campaign is expected to be on air in the first week of June. Add a comment

Raja's agenda: Local call at 10 paise, STD at 25paise

Telecom Minister A Raja, who has retained the portfolio he held in the previous UPA government, said bringing down mobile tariffs to 10 paise a minute for local calls and 25 paise a minute for STD calls would be on top of his agenda during his second tenure.
In India, at present local call rates vary from 40 paise to Re 1, and national call rates from Re 1 to Rs 2 a minute.

Raja, who got the prestigious Communications and IT Ministry for the second consecutive term, feels there is enough scope for tariffs to come down and the policies followed during his previous stint would help in achieving this. Add a comment

Subscribers can also request for additional Ad services delivered through other channels.
BSNL may also give subscribers some FREE TALK TIME for registration and receiving Ads.

Now India has become only the second country in the world to have more than 100 million CDMA-based (code division multiple access) mobile phone sbscribers after the US, which has 157 million CDMA users, according to an industry body.
