Samsung confirms that Galaxy S III will give MWC a miss, to arrive by mid-2012

So finally settling all the rumours surrounding the revelation of the Galaxy S III flagship device, Samsung has confirmed in a statement to TechRadar that, the Korean company will be at the Mobile World Congress sans the S III.

Samsung in the statement said, “Samsung is looking forward to introducing and demonstrating exciting new mobile products at Mobile World Congress 2012. The successor to the Galaxy S2 smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product. Samsung stays committed to providing the best possible mobile experiences for customers around the world.”

We’ve already heard about the HTC Ville before and how it will be a nice dual-core handset with HTC Sense 4.0 with a slim profile.


Well a prototype of the smartphone has been leaked in a video which was shortly removed. Though some blurred shots of the video have been saved which show the handset in all its glory. The smartphone seems to be running Sense 4.0 and might be HTC’s slimmest handset ever.
BlackBerry London's look revamped, much better than before.

So here we have a new image of the rumoured BlackBerry London, which could be the first device to run QNX based BlackBerry 10 OS. It was back in November that we had the first look at the BlackBerry London. But in the latest image of the device, we see a totally revamped look of the London.


Compared to the previous picture that leaked, this new designed device looks much like a mini BlackBerry PlayBook, having rounded edges as compared to the sharp edges that appeared in November.
Disney launches new Android handsets in Japan

Telecom Companies allowed to share 2G spectrum on certain conditions

The Telecom Commission has made a decision to allow mobile phone companies to share spectrum, but has limited this facility to 2G airwaves alone as the 2G spectrum is largely used for offering voice services across the country.


For this the Telecom Commission has introduced some rules to govern spectrum sharing. First, only those operators that have airwaves in a particular region can share it. Suppose Uninor or Tata Teleservices which does not have 2G spectrums in Delhi, cannot share airwaves with any other operator that has radio frequencies here and launch GSM-based cellular services.
