First BlackBerry BBX running Smartphone could be called 'Surfboard'

Yes we were as surprised as you on reading this, but there are a few words doing the round that RIM is going to name its first BBX running device as 'Surfboard'. Initially we have seen the device in a leak and also heard that it was code-named as 'London'.
According to reports, RIM had filed for the trademark of 'BlackBerry Surfboard' in the Canadian Intellectual Property Office back in July 2010, and has been sitting on it since then. Maybe RIM would have not used this ever, but now they have subsequently filed for an extension of time this past May and this has given the rumour mills to work a little harder. We expects the release of the Surfboard to be somewhere in June 2012 with the fresh BBX OS onboard.

There was a lot of confusion whether the Dell Venue Pro will ever get the Mango goodness courtesy Microsoft.
Well Microsoft officially announced on Wednesday that the Windows Phone 7.5 "Mango" update for Dell Venue Pro owners is now available. You should get a notification about the update and if you haven't, then just wait for it as the update rollout has just begun.

Nokia N9 in white coming this quarter with new update for the device

Nokia has announced the newest colour for the MeeGo powered Nokia N9 as they have made the white colour official. We did report about this last month and now it seems Nokia has made the news official.
Consumers have started fancying white handset nowadays and it seems that Nokia doesn't want to stay behind in the competition of the colours. Frank Zillikens, who heads the product marketing for Nokia N9 said "The manufacturing process for beautiful white products is quite complex and we wanted to make sure we deliver the best possible quality for our consumers."

A week back we reported that Google is getting ready to release an update as soon as possible for the infamous Volume bug that affected Android 4.0 Ice Cream sandwich running on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
The bug was reported mostly by users using the device on the 2G 900MHz network frequency. And now reports coming in are suggesting that Samsung has started pushing the update containing the fix to this bug OTA.

The first users of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus were so much excited about owning the smartphone, the first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device. However their excitement was short lived when they got to know that ICS was not supporting Flash Player thus making their browsing and usage a little less exciting. The news spread like a wildfire and Google immediately announced that Android 4.0 will get the much needed Flash support once Adobe comes down to a conclusion.
Adobe has now made it official that the Galaxy Nexus will get Flash 11.1 and AIR 3.1 anytime in December. But things are not still clear if other devices running on ICS will get this support or not and that decision lies with the OEMs.

iPhone 4S landed in India a few days back, surprisingly, the India launch of iPhone 4S happened in a little over one and half months from the date on which it was unveiled in US. Airtel launches Mediphone health service in association with Healthfore

Bharti Airtel has launched a new health care service called Mediphone which is a unique 24X7 mHealth service which enables Airtel mobile customers to avail quality health advice through their mobile phones. Airtel has partnered with Healthfore (A division of Religare Technologies Ltd.), with Fortis Hospitals as knowledge partner for this health intiative.
The service is currently available for Airtel customers in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, NCR, UP, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Haryana and Punjab. Customers just need to dial 5-44-45 to avail of the facility. This service has been in pilot phase for the past 3 months in these circles and is said to be received well by Airtel mobile users.
