 Samsung Electronics has officially launched its latest and newest addition to its tablet portfolio the Galaxy Tab 750 and the Galaxy Tab 730. The new tablets are slim, sleek and yet powerful. The launch saw Samsung India Electronics Country Head Mr. Ranjit Yadav, Samsung Electronics Vice—President, Marketing Mr. Asim Warsi, and the brand ambassador, actress and model Mrs. Lara Dutta.

Facebook Messenger App for iPhone and Android

Facbook has launched a new messenger app that simplifies how messaging works, and gives you a faster way to message friends and small groups. Adobe Flash Player for Android updates to version 10.3.186.3

A new update has popped up for the Adobe Flash Player on Android and is said to bring in fixes for security issues and provides feature enhancements for certain phones and websites. The update will upgrade your version to 10.3.186.3 and it is recommended to update your flash player for smooth running of flash content as well as videos on your handset.

The new update will bring in the following enhancements:

• Enabled NEON optimizations for OMAP4 (Cortex A-9) based devices.
• Corrected an issue on the Samsung Galaxy S where H.264 video at resolutions of 720p and below was not displayed.
• Fixed an issue where app packaging would fail for Android Apps using Flash Player in WebView that set android:hardwareAcceleration to True in their AndroidManifest.xml.
• Fixed a crash on the HTC EVO that some users encountered with specific video.
• Fixed an issue that caused video frames to stop rendering on long streaming videos (> 1 hour) on some Motorola devices.
• Fixed an issue where touch events were getting delayed with Kongregate.com games.
• Fixed an issue where games on Kongregate.com freeze when users exit from Full-Screen mode.

World’s first GSM/UMTS/LTE-TDD Trial conducted in India by Aircel and Huawei

Mobile operator Aircel and Chinese telecommunication and handset makers Huawei have jointly conducted the world’s first GSM/UMTS/LTE-TDD trial on Aircel’s existing GSM/UMTS network in India using devices that is based on Qualcomm Incorporated’s MDM9600™ multimode chipset.

The success of this trial is a key milestone for the development of LTE-TDD ecosystem. The trial was conducted using Huawei’s convergent end-to-end system and Qualcomm’s MDM9600 multimode chipset on Aircel’s existing GSM/UMTS network. During this trial Huawei and Qualcomm jointly executed Inter-RAT (Inter-Radio Access Technology）related cases covering multiple live handover scenarios across GSM/UMTS/LTE technologies. During the trial, other high speed data services were demonstrated, including video streaming via YouTube, video on demand and high definition video surveillance, which met the key performance indicators (KPIs) expected from an LTE-TDD system.

This convergent GSM/UMTS/LTE-TDD end-to-end solution is based on Huawei’s SingleRAN, SingleCore network and multimode devices. The trial used Huawei E392, which is the world’s first LTE-TDD/FDD/UMTS/GSM/CDMA multi-mode USB dongle based on Qualcomm’s MDM9600 multimode chipset. The trial covered end-to-end interoperability of services & applications, radio access and core network. Following this milestone, Huawei is now ready to deploy commercial LTE-TDD network for GSM/UMTS mobile operators in order to serve the ever-increasing demand for mobile broadband in India.

The N9 countdown disappeared from Nokia Sweden’s website

Nokia had put up a countdown for the launch of their MeeGo device, the N9, on their Swedish website. The countdown confirmed the launch date as the 23rd of September cheering fans across the globe. However the countdown has vanished. Nokia has pulled down the countdown with no information about the launch.

Now this means either they have technical issues, or maybe that the device will be delayed. We prefer the previous one though.

I guess the camera has been one the most amazing additions to a mobile phone. I still remember the first camera equipped handset that I saw was a Nokia 7650. Who would’ve thought that we can capture memories on the same device we use to talk to people wirelessly?

LG Prada K2 leaks in a video

LG’s upcoming sleek and sexy Prada K2 has been caught on camera in a small blurry video. Sadly, the video isn’t very clear and is too short to create any excitement. However, for starters it confirms the handset’s existence.

Rumours say that the handset will have a 4.3-inch NOVA display, a dual-core processor, a 1.3-megapixel front camera and 8-megapixel rear camera, 16GB internal memory, 21Mbps HSPA+ radio, and will run on Android Gingerbread. Specs may change, and these are not the official details of the handset.
