With Windows Phone catching up the smartphone market, Microsoft is pretty happy with the way things are going. They have tied up with many handset manufacturers, however if you notice, the company has not shown any interest in local handset manufacturers in the country.

There are a huge number of companies manufacturing handsets here in India, but somehow we don’t see Microsoft very keen on partnering with any of them.

Nokia Public Transport app updates to v2.0.3, supports Symbian S60 5th (Symbian^1) devices

Nokia Public Transport app has been a nice product from the Finnish giant which helps users to Search for public transport stations/stops, addresses and POIs, Choose from multiple routes and follow the list of directions for buses, trams, underground or trains, Get earlier/later journeys, See on the map how to walk to/from your station and more.
Nokia has over its Nokia Beta Labs updated the Nokia Public Transport to version 2.0.3 with a few new features and improving the app. The best part of the version 2.0.3 is that the app now goes on to support older Symbian S60 5th (Symbian^1) devices. Until now it was only available for Symbian^3 and above devices.
The ‘Best Quality Mobile Network Provider’ award goes to Airtel

Airtel has been given the best quality mobile network provider award at the National Telecom Awards held at New Delhi. Airtel is now one of the world's fifth largest telecoms company by subscribers and has operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa.


The Communication, Multimedia and Infrastructure Association of India (CMAI) had recognized it as a winner in the categories of Star News Viewers Choice Best Mobile Network and Best Quality Mobile Network Service Provider at the 6th edition of National Telecom Awards 2012. The CMAI granted award to Airtel on the basis of public votes gathered in a survey conducted by ZipDial and Star News.

The guys at WPCentral have got their hands over a Windows Phone 7.5 Tango or Refresh ROM, OS 8773 with firmware 12120 meant for the Nokia Lumia 710 devices from Telcel Mexico. They installed it over their T-Mobile Lumia 710 and have given us a small insight of what we could expect from the update.
Though the WP Tango is aimed to support devices with RAM as less as 256 MB so that Windows Phone smartphone land up in the affordable range the update will be available for both Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 smartphones.
MediaTek announces global partnership with mobile gaming giant Gameloft

LG LS970 'Eclipse' may arrive with 2GB RAM, Quad Core Processor

LG is all in to take on Samsung. The very next day after Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S III to the world; LG went ahead and announced the LG LTE2 for Korea which came out with a whooping 2 GB RAM and huge 2150 mAh battery.
And now we see another LG device with some awesome specs. The LG LS970 has not been official announced but is probably heading over to Sprint’s network in the US under the name of 'LG Eclipse' LTE 4G.

We know that iOS 5 brought in great features of the IOS running devices and Apple is all in and working hard to make the iOS 6 a better experience over iOS 5. It is being said that iOS 6, codenamed ‘Sundance’ will go on to hurt Google a lot.

It has been seen earlier that Google earns more from iOS devices than it actually earns from its Android devices. This is simply because majority of services in iOS is powered by Google and this is where Apple wants to attack its opponent.

Nokia 305 and Nokia 311 full touch S40 devices leaked

We knew that Nokia was planning to bring out new devices on a full-touch S40 OS, thanks to the leaked manual which we have seen last month. Now two Nokia devices numbered the Nokia 305 and Nokia 311 about which we have heard about earlier have leaked.
Both the devices have now made an appearance at Taiwan’s NCC and they are expected to be launching next week on May 15, 2012.

What will you answer when someone asks you ‘Which is the best cell phone ever?’ Well everybody will have their own opinion and they are bound to differ, but hey the Best Cell Phone ever is the ‘Nokia Lumia 900 Cyan’.
Wait, before you jump to any conclusion and say it is not and there is the iPhone 4S or the recently launched Galaxy S III and many others, we would just like to clarify that, it is not us but Siri (YES, your personal voice assistant on the iPhone 4S) which thinks that the Lumia 900 is the best cell phone ever.
