If there were one use we would have never thought about for our smartphones and tablets, it would have to be as musical instruments. But here we are with the Rave iBand to alter our perceptions about smartphones and tablets forever. This band rocks out on smartphone and tablets. None of them uses musical instruments; instead they use apps and programmes to substantiate for them. The best part, though is that this is an Indian band and its the first of its kind anywhere in India.

“I was fiddling with an iPad a few days ago. Within hours I had composed a song. It struck me that though I was using the iPad like a toy, the end result was professional.” Ricky Kej, the masterbrain behind the conceptualization of the band.

Well a probable picture of the Nokia Champangne which we all thought was no more in existence has popped up over the net. Posted by MSNerd over the Twitter profile, this picture is titled as ‘Two Turkeys’, same as what Google’s Vic Gondotra called the Microsoft-Nokia venture in the past.

The picture gives us a glimpse of the curved screen which can be found on the Lumia 800. Also the body around the screen has a light Champagne coloured body, giving in more hints at the code-named device. Also the Nokia Champagne is rumoured to arrive with Windows Phone Tango OS which is a successor of Current WP 7.5 Mango OS.

If cycling were your hobby, then you would know that it is a hustle and bustle sport. It is increasingly dangerous to carry your expensive iPhone while cycling. But that is now history as now you can get your hands on this Mounty Kickstarter project handlebar mount for your iPhone. It is a lot better strapping your iPhone or opting for a permanent case, in our opinion.

This quickmount is designed by two engineers. It is created in a way that you can easily insert your iPhone and securely place it so that it doesn’t move. It is also endowed with special clasps to easily put in/ take out your iPhone. In fact, even though it is primarily designed for bikes, you can even attach your iPhone to your baby’s stroller or even your shopping cart.

Multiple reports are popping in and The Verge reports that the Microsoft has already started testing Skype over the Windows Phone platform. This testing of Skype is as for now only limited to Microsoft’s employees.
Skype has been missing from the Windows Phone platform for too long now and when Microsoft bought away Skype it was being said that the app would arrive anytime in late-2011 but that has already passed. Now latest sources have gone on to day that we could see the launch of Skype at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) later this month but it all depends for now on the internal testing that’s on within Microsoft. But we know is that app is almost complete and so a launch at the MWC seems a very viable option.

The future iPhones, iPads and iPods might help you finally get that ripped body you always desired. According to new patent, Apple’s new devices will share your fitness data with other users and help you not only be competitive, but even get fitness tips on the go.

Apple has given the example of two runners on different treadmills as an example while applying for the patent. The patent suggests,” These treadmills may be located in the same building, or they may be located in different buildings, in different cities, or even in different continents, in this example, media on one media player can be shared between the two treadmills. Also, data from both treadmills can be displayed on each treadmill, thus showing the users their respective standings in the competition.”

Lumia 800 is easily on of the best-marketed mobiles till date. After handing out free Xboxs’ in many countries, ours included, now Nokia is handing out cupcakes at train stations in Belgium.

Nokia has sold more than a million Lumia 800 phones till date. Given that it is embarking on a whole new journey with new features and a new OS, the feat is commendable. We believe Nokia’s marketing strategy has put the Lumia miles ahead of even phones like the Droid Razr, which have better specs in the same price range.
