Nokia responds to Lumia 800 battery issues

Earlier there was news that some owners of the Nokia Lumia 800 were having battery draining issues with the smartphone.

Well it seems Nokia has finally investigated and says that it is a software issue and will be resolved in further updates. There is no hardware issue and also that it is only present in the Lumia 800, so the Lumia 710 is safe.

A new Symbian Belle release has been leaked for the Nokia N8. We've seen earlier releases for the handset and yet again we see a newer version leaked on the web.

This version, 111.030.0609, has the same as update version which was officially out recently for the Nokia 603, 700 and 701. The new update seems to bring performance updates and some new widgets including a large analogue clock, quick flip silent and cellular data widgets, weather widgets, and more.

Nokia N9 in white gets Unboxed in its glossy glory

Recently Nokia announced the N9 in white, well now here's a closer look at the device in an unboxing video. A lot devices have been coming out in white and just like those the N9 doesn't disappoint.

The packaging looks similar but the smartphone in glossy white seems pretty amazing. There is also a pouch in the packaging instead of the silicon back case.

Nokia is promoting its Windows Phone range, the Lumia series, on a huge scale. The company has been organizing various events and shows around the country to launch the handsets in various cities.


The Nokia Lumia 800 and the Nokia Lumia 710 were officially available on 15th December midnight. The first set of devices were handed over at an exclusive event at the Nokia Evo Store in Gurgaon by Indian tennis star, Sania Mirza. Lucky consumers also got units of the X-Box 360 Kinect complementary with the Nokia Lumia 800.The devices will be available across the country in Nokia's top retail stores all of which have been revamped Lumia style.

With every passing day, there are new rumoured specs and photos of the Nokia Lumia 900 popping up. And today we get to see a new picture of what could be the 900.

At the first look you'll feel that it is the Nokia 800 only but a few tiny changes tell that it could be a totally different device. Like the capacitive keys are a little lower than that on the Nokia 800.

Nokia Lumia 710 launched in US on T-Mobile, $49.99 with 2 year contract

Nokia has today launched its first Windows Phone device in US, the Nokia Lumia 710. Going with T-Mobile as the carrier, the device will be available on January 11.

Nokia also said that the Lumia 710 will sell for just $49.99 with a 2 year contract. It will be available in black or white, with the option to change the back cover with multiple colours.

Nokia Lumia 900 may arrive Late February 2012

So Swisscom Care in a reply to a user just revealed that their users can expect the Nokia Lumia 900 which is rumoured to be a high end Windows Phone device from Nokia at the end of February 2012.


So this goes on to support the speculations that we could see the 900 to launch at the CES in January or the Mobile World Congress in February 2012 both giving Nokia enough time to ship the device to the stores.

An image of the possible successor of greatest camera mobile till date, the Nokia N8 has been leaked from a user manual. The device said to be Nokia 803 is said to run on Symbian Belle OS. We guess that it'll have a great camera on it, thanks to the large hump behind the device.

The wait for the people of US may end this Wednesday as Nokia decides to launch its Windows Phone running Nokia Lumia 710 on T-Mobile's network in the US. Nokia had recently sent out invitations for the event and now the first press shot of the 710 with T-Mobile's name on it have popped up. Nokia has not yet launched the Lumia 800 as it is readying the device with the LTE radio on it before it is launched in the States over Verizon's LTE network.

Coming back to the 3.7 inch 710, from the press shot we can see that 710 will support 4G on T-Mobile's network. The WP Mango-running device will be available in two colours, Black and White with many interchangeable back covers. This will be the first Windows Phone device from the Finnish company which is expected to be followed by the launch of Lumia 800 at the CES and a larger Lumia 900 later on.
