Nokia has announced a new milestone by selling their 1.5 billionth Series 40 mobile phone. The device was sold to a female consumer in the Brazilian city of São Paulo and represents a historic moment for Nokia.
The 1.5 billionth handset was a Nokia Asha 303 and was purchased from a Magazine Luiza store in São Paulo by Mayara Rodrigue.

So it has just been two weeks since the Lumia 900 has been announced by Nokia and now information about the probable successor to the 900, namely the Lumia 910 has already begun to pop-out.
According to industry insider Eldar Murtazin, the Nokia Lumia 910 will be arriving in May to Europe, which is almost a month earlier than the global version of the Lumia 900 hitting UK. Now with this Murtazin has also tried to disclose that the Lumia 910 will be arriving with a huge 12 MP camera at the rear. Murtazin tweeted "Who needs lumia 900 in june if they want to launch lumia 910 (12mpx) in may? Europe." And now this is something that is surely going to interest a lot of people out there.

The Lumia 800 saw one of the biggest advertising and promotion methods taken by Nokia, well at least in India. While these might have boosted the sales, reports are coming in that Nokia might have already shipped 1 million Lumia 800 handset units globally in the last three months of 2011.
If this estimate is true, this would mean that Nokia clearly proved a number of analysts who had predicted that Nokia will only manage to ship half a million units before 2012 begins.

The Lumia 900 by Nokia was announced at the CES recently and the company said that it will be an exclusive launch on the AT&T network in the US with LTE onboard. While there wasn't any information, as to when the handset will reach other regions, retail re-seller Carphone Warehouse is expected to start selling the device in UK from June.
The Carphone Warehouse has already put up a pre-registration page for folks in the UK to pre-order their Lumia 900. So this means that we can expect a worldwide or maybe a region specific launch by June.

Nokia's entry into the Windows Phone campaign saw the company launching the Lumia 800 and the cheaper Lumia 710. The Lumia 710 reached stores in December, had a price tag of Rs. 18,990 and was seen as the more affordable Windows Phone offered by the company.

Bing Maps, which is used on many devices including Blackberrys will now sport a Nokia tag the next time you use them, which means you needn't be surprised when you see Nokia's name appear while using the Bing Maps, on say, the Samsung Omnia W.
"You'll starting seeing the word 'Nokia' on a map that you get from Microsoft properties over a period of time, Even if you are on a BlackBerry device, who recently said they were going to start using Bing Maps.Part of the relationship we established with Microsoft is that we are clearly placing a bet on the Windows Phone platform. The Nokia Lumia 800 has been proclaimed as one of the best smartphones of 2011 and even got a phone of the year award. The handset quite literally reflects the partnership of Nokia with Microsoft.
Launched in December, the handset was welcomed nicely by customers. However, users were later not satisfied with the handset as they claimed that the smartphone had battery draining issues.
