Skype will not be fully supported by the Nokia Lumia 610

We recently heard that Microsoft managed to bring Skype on the Windows Phone platform. But there is slightly sad news if you are planning to buy the new and upcoming Nokia Lumia 610.
Nokia has announced that the budgeted Windows Phone running smartphone will not be supporting Skype. The reason for this is that Skype for Windows Phone does not work on devices with 256MB of RAM.
Nokia India offering free Nokia Music subscription and recharge options on Symbian phones

Nokia has announced its free music subscription which can be availed from the Nokia Music Store for its range of Symbian devices. The duration of these free subscriptions vary from device to device. According to the category of the device, the duration of the free subscription lasts for 3, 6 & 12 months.

Last week we saw Samsung launching the Galaxy S III for pre-order in India and today we have some news from Nokia. You can now pre-register for the Nokia 808 PureView 41MP camera eqiupped smartphone.
You can register online via Nokia India and you will be informed as soon as it is available in the market. Also once you have registered, you will be one of the first to get your hands on the handset.
Nokia Lumia 900 is as tough as a hammer

We have seen many videos where smartphones which are built by the mobile manufacturers are tested for their toughness and back in November we saw Nokia test its Lumia 800 which survived in a mini Wind Tunnel at a speed of Mach 5!
Today we see the Finnish giant release a video where it tests its Nokia Lumia 900’s screen. The strong Gorilla Glass screen is the victim of this test and thankfully is survives.
Nokia announces the Nokia 110 and 112 feature phones

Nokia has today announced two new low priced features phones which seem to be the cheapest Series 40 feature phones by the company, namely the Nokia 110 and Nokia 112.
Both the handsets run on Nokia’s S40 platform and will come with an exclusive bundle of 40 games from EA including titles like Tetris, Bejeweled, Need for Speed The Run, Monopoly Here & Now, and SimCity Deluxe.

Lately we have been seeing and hearing a lot about Nokia 305, 306 and 311, which will end up in the Nokia’s Asha Series to reach out another Billion people out there as Nokia has been struggling a lot in the smartphone market whereas its Nokia Asha series running on Series 40 OS has seen a rise in sales.
And adding to the previous leaks is a couple of pictures of the Nokia 311 which give us a closer look at the device as you can see above and a few leaked manuals for the full-touch S40 devices (Or may be a new OS).

The guys at WPCentral have got their hands over a Windows Phone 7.5 Tango or Refresh ROM, OS 8773 with firmware 12120 meant for the Nokia Lumia 710 devices from Telcel Mexico. They installed it over their T-Mobile Lumia 710 and have given us a small insight of what we could expect from the update.
Though the WP Tango is aimed to support devices with RAM as less as 256 MB so that Windows Phone smartphone land up in the affordable range the update will be available for both Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 smartphones.

We know that Nokia’s 41MP beast, the 808 PureView is going to hit India and Russia before it reaches other markets. We also had a nice hands-on preview of the device here in New Delhi and we got to know how the device will be like.

Nokia 305 and Nokia 311 full touch S40 devices leaked

We knew that Nokia was planning to bring out new devices on a full-touch S40 OS, thanks to the leaked manual which we have seen last month. Now two Nokia devices numbered the Nokia 305 and Nokia 311 about which we have heard about earlier have leaked.
Both the devices have now made an appearance at Taiwan’s NCC and they are expected to be launching next week on May 15, 2012.

Nokia has today announced that it is just going to make the e-book reading experience for all the Windows Phone running Lumia smartphone owners better. Starting today, Nokia is starting the global roll out of Nokia Reading, an app and service that serves up the written word in your own language on your Lumia smartphone.
Using the Nokia Reading app, you can choose your own favourite authors, or select bestselling novels and the top local books in your own language.
