Official IPL T20 cricket application now available on Nokia OVI Store

Official Indian Premier League - IPL T20 cricket application is now available from the Nokia OVI Store portal. Nokia mobile phone users can download the official IPL T20 app via the OVI Store on the Nokia handset or from the web on www.ovi.com for €2 (Euros). Once downloaded, users can use the app till this 2010s' IPL season and need to re-subscribe for the future IPL seasons

A Skype client for Nokia smartphones based on the Symbian platform is now available. Skype for Symbian will allow Nokia smartphone users worldwide to use Skype on the move, over either a WiFi or mobile data connection (GPRS, EDGE, 3G). It is now downloadable for free from the Ovi Store, Nokia's one-stop shop for mobile content.

Skype for Symbian will run on any Nokia smartphone using Symbian ^1, the latest version of the Symbian platform. Skype will soon introduce this client to Symbian mobile devices from other manufacturers, including Sony Ericsson.

Nokia Beta labs has introduced a new Application called 'Nokia Feel'. Nokia Feel helps you discover what you can do with your device in a more spontaneous way. When you tell it how you feel, the application suggests a few things you could do. In this way, discovering the capabilities of your device can be emotional, surprising, and fun.

When you open the application you can select how you feel – are you feeling Energetic, Lucky, Lonely, Happy, Hungry, Bored, Lost, Caring or Creative? And when you have told it how you feel, the application suggests a few things you could do.

Nokia Beta Labs introduces 'Nokia Diagnostics', a troubleshooting application

Nokia Beta Labs recently introduced a new experimental application called 'Nokia Diagnostics'. As the name suggests, with this Application you can diagnose, troubleshoot and configure your Nokia Device. Right now Nokia Diagnostics is compatible with all S60 5th Edition devices like Nokia N97, Nokia N97 Mini, Nokia 5230, Nokia 5530, Nokia 5800, and Nokia X6.

When you will open the application you will see five diagnostic tests. Double tap on the test which you need to perform & follow the instructions.

Nokia Beta Labs introduces Custom Dictionary for predictive text

Nokia Beta labs has introduced Custom Dictionary for predictive test. Nokia Custom Dictionary is designed to offer an easy way to manage the custom dictionary on your smartphone. The custom dictionary is used for storing your personal words that are used frequently while typing. These words are then used in predictive text input.

It can be installed on S60 3rd and 5th Edition devices. The application is fully functional on Nokia E71, Nokia E63, Nokia 5800 XPressMusic, and Nokia X6. There might be some minor issues on Nokia N97, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia E72, Nokia E75, Nokia E55, and Nokia E52. Check the FAQs for More Info. The application has limited functionality on Nokia N96, Nokia N95, Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N82, Nokia N79, Nokia N78, and other older phones.

Nokia has updated the Firmware of Nokia N97. The new firmware release (21.2.045) brings improved call reliability. Touch screen usability has been improved so you can scroll smoothly through content. This release also includes improvements in the Browser and Music player applications, and in image and video stability. This software release is available through the Nokia Software. Mozilla launches Firefox Mobile version for Nokia’s Maemo Platform

Firefox is now available for Nokia’s Maemo platform. Nokia N900 owners can now enjoy many of the same Firefox features they know and love on the desktop on their mobile device.
