Motorola Milestone 2.1 firmware update available for limited users

Motorola today announced the availability of firmware update for its Milestone handsets. However this update is currently available for users in UK, Spain, France, Ukraine and other parts or Europe. There is no news of its availability for Asian users yet. The firmware update (MR2.5) is not an upgrade for the Android version. Its predominantly performance update for the current version of Android (2.1) in the Milestone handsets.The update is widely anticipated by Milestone users around the world. A few months ago, Motorola announced the availability of this update and later withdrew it stating technical difficulties as the reason. This update improves the stability of the mobile. Its prevents the applications from 'force closing' at many instances. The update also fixes the widely criticized alarm bug in the model. Music functionality, proximity sensor, flight mode, PIN lock feature and audio quality has been enhanced along with an array of bug fixes.

Motorola Milestone XT720 enters India silently

It seems Motorola Milestone XT720 is available in India now. I checked some portals which sell mobiles online and found out that univercell.in and ezoneonline.in are selling Motorola Milestone XT720 at Rs. 30,000 amd Rs. 29,990 respectively. Univercell is right now booking the orders for it but on ezoneonline you can buy Milestone XT720 without any booking. Though it is is available in India, there is no official announcement by Motorola India about it.Motorola Milestone XT720 is android based 3G enabled smartphone which comes with Xenon flash and allows output of high resolution media to HD TV. It measures 115.95mm x 60.9mm x 10.9mm. Other features of this Android 2.1 based device include 3.7" touchscreen display, 8MP camera with Auto Focus, 3.5mm Audio Jack, Wi-Fi, aGPS and Proximity sensor.
PS : I checked out with local mobile vendors at my place but it is not available with them as of now. If its available in your city then let us know.
Motorola expands MOTOYUVA range, launches 5 new entry level mobiles

Motorola India has expanded its MOTOYUVA range with five new entry level mobile devices. The MOTOYUVA WX range now features the MOTOYUVA WX181 candybar handset with FM radio and integrated light torch, and the MOTOYUVA WX260 and MOTOYUVA WX265 which add Bluetooth, integrated MP3 players, expandable memory of up to 2GB and GPRS connectivity. The MOTOYUVA WX Series is completed by the MOTOYUVA WX290 and MOTOYUVA WX295 which adds a digital camera to the MOTOYUVA WX feature set.
MOTOYUVA WX181
MOTOYUVA™ WX181 has 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) colour display and FM radio with integrated RDS which shows the songs, artists and genres along with a stereo headset . It allows up to five people to join a call simultaneously for conference calls on-the-go. MOTOYUVA WX181 offers a talk time of up to 8 hours and a standby time of up to 580 hours. Other features include a LED light (torch), calculator, currency converter and alarm clock.
MOTOYUVA WX260 and MOTOYUVA WX265
MOTOYUVA WX260 comes with a FM radio and MP3 player and has WAP 2.0 that also allows you to browse the web. This candybar style handset with a 1.7 inches (4.4 cm) colour display offers up to 11 hours of non-stop music.
Lovers of the flip design can go for the MOTOYUVA WX265. It has all features of the MOTOYUVA WX260. Colourful lights on the front flip notify users when there is an incoming call or message or when the battery needs charging.
