Swype Inc. in collaboration with Nokia today announced the launch of Swype Beta especially targeted for its Symbian users. The USP of Swype is it's capability of faster and easier way to input text on any screen. A phenomenal speed of 40 words per minute can be achieved through the continuous finger or stylus motion across the screen keyboard. A wide range of devices such as phones, tablets, game consoles, kiosks, televisions, virtual screens, etc. can be greatly benefitted by this application.

Nokia rated as India's Most Trusted Brand for 3rd year in a row

nokia-logo-1For the 3rd time in a row Nokia has been ranked No.1 in The Economic Times-Brand Equity's annual 'Most Trusted Brands' survey for 2010 in India. Nokia has appeared in the survey since 2005, and has held the first position in 2008, 2009 and now, 2010.

The award marks the celebration of 15 years of mobility and Nokia in India. The first mobile phone call was made on a Nokia phone using Nokia network on July 31, 1995.

The Sony Ericsson A8i was developed in collaboration with China Mobile specifically for the Chinese market and runs on the operator’s OMS 2.0 smart phone platform. On the launch, Bert Nordberg, President & CEO, Sony Ericsson said - "China is a hugely important market for Sony Ericsson and we are committed to maintaining our strong position and driving growth by continually introducing new and exciting products into this market".

Zen Mobile launches 2 new Dual SIM mobiles - M40 & M20

Priced at Rs. 3599, M40 is equipped with a 2.4” QVGA Screen, MP3/MP4 player, 1.3 MP camera, wireless FM and dual speakers. The handset provides talktime of upto 5 hours and a standby time of upto 200 hours. It comes with Smart Dialing feature, which lets the user find and dial a specific contact in a few  steps, by filtering out contacts on the device. M40 phonebook has a capacity of storing 500 contacts and the call register can keep a track of 60 numbers (Incoming, Outgoing & Missed).

Nokia launches Dual SIM mobiles - C1 & C2 in India

Nokia-C1-C2-sNokia India today unveiled its long awaited 2-in-1 dual SIM solutions in India – the Nokia C1 (C1-00) and Nokia C2 (C2-00).

Nokia C1 is priced at Rs 1999 and will be the first Nokia mobile phone to feature a 2-in-1 SIM solution.  Nokia C1 offers the ‘call divert’ feature, which will ensure that they never miss a call from either of the two SIMs. Moreover, by simply holding down a key, people will be able to switch between the two SIM cards in the phone. It is a dual SIM mobile phone but not dual standby which mean only one SIM will work at a time.

nokia-5250-sNokia has unveiled its new touchscreen smartphone Nokia 5250. Its dimensions are 104 mm x 49 mm x 14 mm (L x W x T) and it weighs around 107 grams. It runs on Symbian^1 (Symbian OS, S60 5.0). It features 2.8" TFT display with a 16:9 apect ratio and a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels, 2 megapixel camera, expandable memory of upto 16 Gb, 3.5 mm AV connector and FM radio. It provides standby time of upto 450 hours, talk time of upto 7.7 hours and music playback time of upto 24 hours.

Nokia 5250 is expected to hit the market in Q4 of this year and will be available in Dark Grey, Blue, Red, Purple and White colors.
