Nokia sells 1.5 billion Series 40 mobile phone units

Nokia has announced a new milestone by selling their 1.5 billionth Series 40 mobile phone. The device was sold to a female consumer in the Brazilian city of São Paulo and represents a historic moment for Nokia.

The 1.5 billionth handset was a Nokia Asha 303 and was purchased from a Magazine Luiza store in São Paulo by Mayara Rodrigue.

Apple sales break records; 37 Million iPhones, 15 Million iPads sold for Q1 2012

Apple's cash registers are still ringing like there's no tomorrow. The company has sold 37.04 million iPhones and 15.43 million iPads in three months. The jump in sales is attributed most to the iPhone 4S, once considered a disappointing iPhone, and iPad 2, which has largely been untouchable despite many 'iPad-killers' being released. Apple's net income rests at $13.6 Billion while its revenue comes at a scintillating $ 46.33 Billion.

LG Optimus LTE hits the 1 million sales mark

LG Electronics had announced the Optimus LTE back in October boasting a nice HD display and LTE radio onboard. Today LG has reported that the sales of its Optimus LTE smartphone have exceeded over one million units, making it one of the largest selling LTE smartphones in the world.

The Optimus LTE was launched in Korea first and had reached 6,00,000 units in the first three months itself and about 8,500 units were sold on the first day of its launch in Japan. The world's first HD LTE smartphone is now currently available in the US, Canada, Japan and South Korea.

Galaxy SIII coming in April; will have 12-megapxel camera, HD screen

One of the most eagerly anticipated Androids the world over, the Galaxy SIII might be in the final stages of production before it hits the shelves. The phone all set to be unveiled at the MWC 2012, might debut in April with features like a 12-megapixel camera and HD screen, according to Russian tech blogger Eldar Murtazin.

Nokia Lumia 910 may arrive in May with a 12 MP camera

So it has just been two weeks since the Lumia 900 has been announced by Nokia and now information about the probable successor to the 900, namely the Lumia 910 has already begun to pop-out.

Sony Tablet S and Tablet P to get Ice Cream Sandwich soon

Sony had launched two tablets last year called Tablet P and Tablet S. Both of them have a unique design and form factor unlike any other tablet out there in the market. While India still craves for the tablets, news is coming that Sony has already started testing the new Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich for both the tablets.

Earlier in December there was a confirmation made by a moderator on Sony's UK forums that the company's two tablets will receive an Ice Cream Sandwich update soon.
