Most of us have done it. Oprah Winfrey was here advocating against it until Indian roads scared her to death. But Jason Torchinsky has come up with an idea that will make texting/ talking on the phone while driving easier and safer. This idea of a CMDL or a Center Mounted Distraction Lamp is lightning flash and we hope some or the other automaker signs up for it.

Processors are nothing new for Apple. Till some time ago, Apple used to manufacture its own processors until it switched over to Intel. But, what is the Macroscalar architecture we are blabbering about?

Remember, we told you about a Patent infringment case that Motorola filed against Apple in German court? Motorola had won the case with regards to the patents it held with 3G standards which had forced Apple to remove its 3G / UMTS-enabled iPads and iPhone 4s from its online German store, in response to a court ruling. But later the products returned. Now Motorola is asking Apple to pay just 2.25% of all the 3G-enabled devices it has sold till date.

Now that looks to be a small amount but if calculated it comes down to $2.1 billion and now that’s too much money.

We are having a tablet downpour. But what do average Indians like you and me look for in a tablet? I think there are two things we always look forward to – good price and good features.

India has given the world its cheapest tablet, Aakash, but that’s not all there is on offer. There are many other tablets including the Aakash 2, which are in the market. But the feedback on these tablets hasn’t been good. Aakash is more of a distant reality and the ones who got their hands on it say it is as good as crap. Therefore, we yanked it off the list.

When it comes to marketing its handset, the Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung leaves nothing left to be desired and a recent Super Bowl ad for the Samsung Galaxy Note is ample proof of that. The ad not only breaks into song and dance, just like the hit telecom Glee!, it also pokes fun at Apple.
