Phone Screen Solar Panels prototype developed. Good Bye Chargers!

Phone-Screen-Solar-Charger

A very innovative dimension in device charging has been unveiled in which cell phones, tablets and laptops can be charged through a small film applied on the screen of the device. A source of light or just solar energy can be absorbed by the ultra-thin photo-voltaic layer and it converts it into energy of about 250mW that will charge the battery non-stop. The new solar charging technology has been developed by Wysips and they claim that it can it can fully charge a typical cell phone battery in 6 hours of outdoor light and will not affect the screen even if it’s a touch screen or a 3D enabled screen. The product might be available in about a year or two.

This is surely going to be a breakthrough as manufacturers will not have to worry about chunky battery size and users will not have to worry about juicing up their devices for days.

Nokia T7-00 in China

Nokia-t7
We had earlier reported on a leak of a new model by Nokia being claimed as the T7-00 via OVI Publisher tools. Now we have pictures, however we aren’t fully satisfied if it’s the real deal. Sources from pcpop.com show us pictures of a device that seems to be the T7-00 runnin symbian^3. The looks are similar to the N8 and it has an 8MP camera with LED flash instead of the 12MP. Other claimed specs say that it has a 700MHz processor backed up with a GPU, and the usual nHD display of 640x360. The HDMI port however is missing and is replaced by the micro-USB port.

The only thing that is weird is that it has the words “Nokia NSeries” embedded at the back.  Now is it just a sticker, or maybe a photoshop-ed image. If it does fall in the Nseries, why have the T7 name?
