Nokia Browser now 3 times faster, updates to v2.0 for S40 devices

Nokia has released the update for Nokia Browser for S40 devices to version 2.0. Nokia says it is a major update and the new version reduces data consumption by up to 90% and websites load up to three times faster.

There is a new intuitive start page, users can easily share files and links across social networks and the new Download Manager helps consumers to manage external content easily, saving music, video or pictures on a memory card, while surfing the internet.

LG launches the Optimus 3D Max in Europe

LG has launched the Optimus 3D Max which was announced back at the Mobile World Congress 2012 in Europe. The successor to the Optimus 3D, this second-generation 3D smartphone boasts an enhanced chipset and more enticing 3D entertainment.

BlackBerry OS 7.1.0.402 leaks for various devices

The new update for the BlackBerry OS 7.1 has been leaked and is unofficially available for various BlackBerry devices including the Bold 9900, Bold 9930, Torch 9810, Torch 9860, Torch 9850 and the Curve 9370.

The update is safe to install manually, but it is unofficial as of yet, so it’s better to make necessary backups and take proper precautions. The new OS will obviously be bringing more stability and to the handsets so if you are pretty sure, you can update your handset to the latest OS 7.1.

Samsung’s Next Galaxy device has an official website with a countdown

More development on the Next Galaxy device has taken place. Samsung has put up an official webpage for the next galaxy device with a running countdown.  The web address is an eye catcher ‘www.tgeltaayehxnx.com’ (re-shuffles to thenextgalaxy) and shows the countdown running with just six hours to go for the next step.

So we need to wait for a few hours until we get to see more about the device. We already know that Samsung will be hosting the official event on the 3rd of May, so we are guessing that they just want a give us a tease till the official announcement is made.

Amazon Germany puts the Samsung Galaxy S III for pre-order

While we can’t get enough of the rumours regarding the Samsung Galaxy S III, here’s something from Germany. Amazon, on their German website, is apparently selling the Galaxy S III on pre-order.

Of course there isn’t any image of the device given, but it says that the smartphone will have a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display, 12MP autofocus camera with LED flash, Android 4.0 OS, 16GB internal memory with microSD card slot support up to 32GB and the cost has been quoted as €599.

Hands on: Android Ice Cream Sandwich on Samsung Galaxy S II

Device manufacturers have started rolling out the latest Android update for their devices and today we have our hands on the Galaxy S II running Android 4.0.3 which is the official stable build.

At first look, it seems just like Gingerbread, which is what really put us off. Samsung hasn’t done a good job with Ice Cream Sandwich for their flagship device. The TouchWiz UI is still present and at first glance you would hardly find any difference. However there are certain changes and the device is a lot smoother, faster and much more responsive than ever.
