Casio to launch new G-Shock Bluetooth 4.0 watch

Japanese watch maker Casio is said to be launching the G-SHOCK GB-6900 watch next year. The watch can be connected to some smartphones via Bluetooth. It has Bluetooth 4.0 with LE (Low energy consumption) and will be compatible with various Medias Android handsets that will be launched in Japan.


Whats's unique here is that it is the first ever watch to carry Bluetooth 4.0 with LE and the low powered Bluetooth technology means that watch can go for 2 years without a battery change. SWEET !

Apple is said to be bringing in the iPad 3 next year with a 2048 x 1536 resolution retina display. If it does, it will be the largest resolution on any tablet.


Apparently a picture of the display panel for the iPad 3 has been leaked on a Korean forum.

Another round of leaked pictures, and this time around it's the Motorola DROID 4. The pictures are of a demo or dummy version of the yet-to-be-announced device which is going to head over to Verizon's 4G LTE network.

The dummy version is used to give users idea as to how the device would look and feel, so that users could decide if they would like to buy the device or not.

And to continue the tradition of getting hold of leaked pictures of upcoming devices, the folks at Pocketnow are back and this time with what could be the Nokia Lumia 900/ Nokia Ace.

From the pictures we can very well notice the front facing camera which is said to bring in video chat capability over Windows Phone devices. Also on the we can see the AT&T branding on the right with 4G LTE signal on the screen. The 900/Ace is said to be coming with a 4.3 inch screen which is indeed large and may be great for users.

LG rumoured to announce Intel chipset equipped Android handset next year

LG is said to be the first manufacturer that will adapt Intel's Medfield chipset that was showcased earlier. News comes straight from Korea Times that says LG will debut an Intel-powered Android smartphone at CES 2012.


Previous joint efforts by the two companies were a complete letdown when LG and Intel together planned to announce an Android handset at CES 2011. The handset was never launched and was eventually cancelled.
300 Million People access Facebook via Mobiles

Symbian still alive, top Mobile OS of 2011

To everyone who thought that Symbian is already dead, the stats of 2011 mobile OS usage from StatCounter will come as a surprise. According to the StatCounter Symbian still rules the mobile OS market with 33.63% of total market share. This is an increase from the last year's 30% share which was a plus then a 5% more to that of iOS.


At the second place, we have iOS battling the spot with Android who is at the third place with a meagre difference between the two OS. But it'll still take time for both the OSs to snatch the first place from Symbian.
Acer Iconia Tab A700 leaks boasting a 1920×1200 resolution display

There were rumours earlier about the Acer Iconia Tab A700 which said that the tablet will be running on an Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset and will boast a full HD display. Well, it seems that the rumours just might be true after all.

Apple now applies patent for iOS face and presence detection

Just day before we saw Apple win a multi-touch patent for its iOS devices and today we hear that the Cupertino based company has applied for a face and presence detection patent with The United States Patent and Trademark Office.

This news comes in from Patently Apple, which goes on to state that with this patent, iOS users will be able to unlock their devices by just looking at it.
