micromax-andro-a60

With a price range of around Rs. 6999. It is one of the least expensive Smartphones available in the Indian market. Though these features and the price range seem to be perfect there are some things Micromax A60 falters on:

  • The 2.8 inch display is fine considering its price range but this 2.8” screen is resistive touch screen, and as the days of using a stylus on a touch screen has long gone, a capacitive touch screen would have been the right choice,
  • The A-60 comes with android 2.1 which does not allow apps2sd and the onboard memory provided by micromax is only 150 MB which is very low for storing the apps, this issue can be solved If micromax updates this device to android 2.2 Froyo soon.
  • It has been months since android 2.2 Froyo has been released but still it has not been adopted in this device. The devices which do not run on Froyo will be missing features like flash 10.1 support, adobe air support, JIT compiler,apps2sd and many other such features.
  • Though the A-60 battery is stated to be at 1280 mAh, it only provides 4 hours of talk time, which is very less.
