Now make all local and STD calls at just 35 paise/minute with MTS India. It has launched a One MTS One India Plan for its prepaid customers. MTS One India recharge is available for Rs.11. It comes with a 30 days tariff validity. MTS India customers can call any MTS India number anywhere in India at just 35 paise/minute. MTS India today announced that it has expanded the coverage of its CDMA mobile service to all the coastal districts of Kerala, with the launch of services in the Kozhikode district. This foray marks the presence of MTS in 262 towns of Kerala, in less than two months of operations in the state.
Mr. Vsevolod Rozanov, President and CEO of Sistema Shyam TeleServices, said, "Kerala is an important market for us. We are proud of the expansion of our mobile telephony services in all the coastal districts of Kerala. It reflects the increased pace of development of our operations in India. We intend to extend our foot print to 300 towns of Kerala by end of June this year, and increase it to 400 by July."
"The presence of MTS across coastal districts of Kerala is a landmark moment for us. Our scheme of ‘minute millionaire', revolutionary ‘MSaver 51' card and attractive tariff plans on outbound calls to countries in the gulf through MSaver49 has received great response from the subscribers. MTS has over 1 million subscribers across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Rajasthan, in addition to Kolkata where it launched services recently.
MTS customers can Roam on TATA network across india

MTS India has signed an agreement with Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTSL) to share the Tata’s CDMA network for roaming services.This will be the first time that the two private CDMA service providers in India would allow roaming of their customers on each others network.The state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telcom Nigam Limited (MTNL) are the only two telecom operators who allow each others CDMA subscribers to stay connected on either network as they are both owned by the Government of India.T Narasimhan, deputy chief executive officer Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd quoted we have reached an agreement with Tata Teleservices to allow our customers to roam on their network when outside of their home networks as we do not have a pan India coverage yet we have had no issues reaching a commercial agreement with Tata Tele and our customers benefit from seamless coverage.
MTS REACHES ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBER MARK

MTS India the latest entrant in the Indian mobile telephony space, today announced reaching the subscriber base of one million.The company achieved fast-track growth in the last three months, expanding its presence from Rajasthan to three more circles including Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Kolkata covering 13%of the population in the country. Commenting on the performance, Mr. Vsevolod Rozanov, President and CEO SSTL said “The first magical number of a million gives us the confidence that the MTS brand is gaining popularity and our customers acknowledge and believe in the brand promise of superior network quality, exceptional customer service and honest & simple tariff plans.As a new telecom operator, our performance in the last 6 months has surpassed our expectations. I am confident that we will continue to progressively expand our presence with attractive pricing and superior customer care delivery ”MTS as a pure play CDMA operator has achieved a share of net addition of subscribers in the range of 11-13% per month, of the total mobility market of Rajasthan, since launch on the 1st of October 2008. As of today, Rajasthan contributes 87% to the subscriber-base of MTS, while the remaining 12.5% is spread across Tamil Nadu and Kerala where services were launched two months ago. Kolkata is the latest circle to introduce the brand MTS.
MTS provides telephony connections to over 600 towns of Rajasthan, 513 towns of Tamil Nadu and 247 towns of Kerala, in addition to Kolkata where it made a foray in May this year.
MTS launches CDMA Mobile Service in Kolkata

MTS India launches its CDMA-based mobile services in Kolkata circle today. We brought you some exclusive details regarding the MTS Mobile service launching in Kolkata. The company is offering a scheme of one million minutes of free talk time to its customers with a limit of 150 minutes usage everyday with its MSaver-499 card,call Charges and tariff are the same as its all other circle. All local to Own Network calls will be charged at 35 paisa per minute; MTS-to-non MTS calls and calls to landlines will cost 70 paisa per minute. STD calls will cost Rs.1.40 per minute.Local SMS (on all networks) will cost subscribers 50 paisa per SMS, while international messages will cost Rs.5 per SMS.
The Life Time Prepaid will cost Rs.49 with talktime of Rs.10 and the call charges will be applicable as above.The help line number for MTS Kolkata is 155 (Toll Free) from your MTS mobile phone Or dial 91 53 155 155, if calling from a landline or non-MTS phone.

One can get MTS India's Lifetime connection by just paying Rs. 49. This consists of SIM cost and includes Rs. 10 initial talktime. Shyam Sistema CDMA services in Chennai, Kerala this month

Shyam Sistema Teleservices (SSTS), the joint venture between telecom equipment manufacturer and service provider Shyam Group and Russian telecom major Sistema SSA, will launch CDMA mobile services in two telecom circles, the Chennai-Tamil Nadu circle and Kerala, by this month-end, industry.- The company will launch the service in Chennai-Tamil Nadu circle on March 26, and most likely by March 30 in Kerala, the sources said.
- Shyam Sistema's CDMA services brand in Rajasthan, 'Rainbow', will be changed to 'MTS' (Mobile Telesystems), a subsidiary of the Russian partner.
- The joint venture will also roll out services in West Bengal and North-East circles in the next two months.
Shyam Sistema had acquired licences and spectrum to provide CDMA mobile services in 22 circles in the country last year.The company had earlier said that it planned to invest $5 billion (around Rs.250 billion or Rs.25,000 crore) in India.According to reports, the Russian government is in advanced talks with Shyam Sistema to pick up a 20 percent stake in the company for Rs.34.32 billion.Sistema holds majority stake of 73.71 percent in the joint venture, while 2.5 percent is held by the public and the remaining by Shyam Group.
