MTS introduces new MBlaze Broadband pre-paid plans for Karnataka and Tamil Nadu customers

MTS India has introduced new offers for prepaid MBlaze customers in Karnataka & Tamil Nadu but introducing two propositions where the customers paying three months tariff in advance will get to save up to 27% on the tariffs.
The two new offers are MBlazer 3GB 1777 and MBlazer 5GB Unlimited 2222, which offer bundled data along with the MBlaze data card.

MTS and 4moles.com develop a mobile app for Golf PGA Asian Tour

MTS in association with 4moles.com has developed a new effective live scoring application for Golf. This application has been exclusively developed for the upcoming Panasonic Open India 2012 – Asian Tour and is available on MTS Pulse and MTag 3.1 smartphones.
Traditionally scoring was done manually wherein volunteers carry walkie-talkies and relay the information to a central point, where it is fed into a console. This has a time lag of about 10-15 minutes between the scores per hole of each player.

MTS India has announced the launch of the MBlaze high-speed mobile broadband service in 20 new towns in the country of states including Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
The new towns include Kunnathangadi, Angadippuram, Thenhippalam, Vadanappally, Chalakkudy, Thodupuzha Kayamkulam, Attingal, Thrikkannapuram, Mehsana, Ankleshwar, Halol, Kadi, Kalol, Mehboobnagar, Nalgonda, Bhimavaram, Chittor, Medak and Sangareddy.
MTS launches 'Super-Zero' STVs, On-net calling at Zero Paisa

Unaffected by the recent license cancellation by the Supreme Court of India, MTS has announced the launch of MTS Super Zero for all its pre-paid users. With these plans, users will now be able to make unlimited on-net local and national calls for zero paise per day.
MTS has introduced daily, weekly and monthly packs for Rs. 17, 47 and 147 respectively. With daily STV 17 MTS users will be allowed to make Unlimited MTS to MTS local & National calls and added benefits of free 200 Local and National SMS to MTS numbers.

MTS has started a new initiative called ‘MTS Saheli’ to engage and connect with female customers across West Bengal. The initiative is aimed to provide a range of telecom services to women customers right at their doorstep by reaching out through an air-conditioned bus.
To establish a stronger connect, the initiative will be led by female staff right from steering of the bus to demonstrating the range of mobile handsets, along with providing information about mobile plans offered by MTS. MTS Saheli will also advise female customers about health and wellness tips by providing access to female physicians and beauty experts. As part of the innovative engagement channel, all female customers coming to the MTS Saheli Bus will also get attractive freebies and discounts on every new mobile connection and recharge done by them.

MTS India launches International Roaming, now roam across 433 GSM networks in 231 countries

MTS India has created history by launching International Roaming services for its prepaid subscribers enabling them to roam across 433 GSM networks in 231 countries. The company has also launched a dual mode SIM card which would work both on GSM handsets while abroad and on OMH CDMA handsets while in India. MTS is now the first telecom operator in the country to provide international data roaming for CDMA prepaid customers.
MTS customers on international roaming would have access to GPRS services in 206 countries on 322 telecom networks. Additionally, MTS customers will be able to enjoy HSDPA services in 114 countries on 145 roaming networks.
MTS customers availing international roaming services for the first time need to walk into an MTS Branded Retail Outlet (BRO), submit the required documents including copy of a valid passport and request to activate the service on their mobile numbers and get their SIM card swapped to the International Roaming card. For additional customer convenience, interested MTS customers can also download the International Roaming service request form from the MTS India website (www.mtsindia.in) and submit it with the required documents at the nearest MTS BRO. Post the initial activation, on subsequent international visits, customers can simply dial MTS customer care to activate or deactivate international roaming on their MTS mobile numbers.

The MTS Livewire and MTS MTAG 3.1 will be launched with usage bundles and are priced in the sub Rs 5000 category. The smartphones run on Android 2.2 Froyo and come bundled with free talk time, SMSs and data usage. The two smart phones have been positioned as social media enablers for the youth community.
