MTNL Mumbai customers can now make International calls without having ISD facility

MTNL Mumbai customers of Landline, Dolphin and Garuda postpaid can now make ISD (International calls) calls to USA, Canada, China, Honkong, Singapore and Thailand even without having STD/ ISD facility.If you are a MTNL Mumbai subscriber then you need to dial ‘1300’ instead of ‘00’to make ISD calls to these countries. The call charge to these countries is Re 1/ min (In case of Landline it varies from 0.80paise/min to Rs.1.20per min).
For Trump and Garuda Prepaid customers’ access to these countries is already available with ‘00’ instead of ‘1300’ at Re.1/ min.

Now Mobile Internet at just 1 paise/10 kb on roaming with MTNL

MTNL, the government owned mobile service provider of Mumbai and Delhi has slashed National Roaming Data charges across all plans for Trump and Dolphin Customers. Customers using MTNL’s GSM and 3G service (Dolphin/Trump) can now enjoy mobile internet in home network as well as roaming in India @ Re.1 per MB (Pulse rate 1p/10kb) which was earlier charged at Rs. 10/MB. These charges will be applicable for accessing internet through mobile or data card.
This is a very good move by MTNL as their reach is just limited to Mumbai and Delhi. The previous roaming tariff was very costly as compared to what other providers are offering.

As a festival offer MTNL Mumbai has announced an increase in talk time on its First Time Recharge Coupon (FTRC) of Rs 91 for SIM10. Under this scheme customers’ buying SIM 10 along with FTRC of Rs 91 will now get talk time of Rs 91 instead of Rs 41 which was provided earlier.This SIM 10 comes with lifetime validity. All outgoing calls to MTNL Mumbai and Delhi Network are charged just at 1paise /2sec. All local calls to other networks and STD calls are charged @ 1paise / 1sec. Data download charges are Re. 1/ MB.
This recharge coupon of Rs 91 can be used as first time recharge coupon only with SIM 10. Subsequently the customer can recharge with any of the available top up or recharge coupons.
As a Festival offer MTNL has also announced a special scheme where on purchase of every New TRUMP connection (SIM + FRC), a Top-up coupon of Rs 50 is given absolutely Free. This scheme is available only from MTNL Customer Service Centers (CSC).

Now MTNL offers 3G “Mobile Internet “activation absolutely free for all Trump and Dolphin customers. The Activation charges of Rs 149 have been waived off from 15th Oct 10. MTNL is already offering video call facility on 3G to all its Mobile customers.Customers can activate 3G data service by sending SMS ‘ACT 3G’to 555 from Dolphin (postpaid) and SMS ‘ACT 3G’ to 444 from Trump (prepaid), and the 3G Mobile Internet service will be activated for them. We have seen MTNL launch some incredible affordable offers lately in Mumbai but this offer comes as a surprise when almost all providers are decreasing their prices to stay in the competition. MTNL has announced reduction in ISD rates. Customers using MTNL Landline service and Garuda (Fixed/ Mobile) can now talk at a low call charge to 26 counties all over the world. MTNL Landline customers can make calls to U.S.A., Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, for as low as 80paise/min depending on their landline plan. Garuda (Fixed/Mobile) customers can also enjoy low ISD call rate of just Re 1/ min to the above countries. This is a limited period offer for two months. This offer is effective from 15th September 2010.MTNL had already reduced the ISD tariff for GSM (Dolphin and Trump) customers. And the reduction of ISD calls for Landline and Garuda customers would now benefit more than 46 Lakh customers all over Mumbai.

MTNL Mumbai has introduced Add-on packs on Landline. Customers having landline facility can attach the Add-on pack with the existing monthly plan and avail extra free calls offered under these packs during the month. There are three Add- on- packs of monthly rental Rs 50, Rs 100 and Rs 200. These packs offer 65, 140 and 290 calls free respectively. The customers can avail this facility by dialing the Call center. Customers will be charged for these packs in their bill and the Free calls will be credited to their account. The validity of the packs is only for one month.
