State Operator MTNL Delhi launches Prepaid 3G Mobile service and also slashed its Postapaid 3G tariff more than 50% less from the existing 3G Plans. MTNL Delhi’s 3G Prepaid plans starts from Rs.250 and the revised postpaid 3G Tariff Plans now also same as new prepaid tariff plans.

Announcing the launch of the pre-paid 3G service, RSP Sinha said CMD of MTNL,the Company is launching 3G Jadoo Prepaid Services so that customer should be able to avail the latest 3G/3.5G services at an affordable price.Since pre-paid is the preferred by customers, the 3G service will be available for only one time charge of Rs 300 with lifetime validity, In addition, a subscriber can also choose any of the data coupons to avail free data downloads coupled with free video calling to suit ones individual requirement, Sinha said.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today launched its much awaited third generation 3G mobile services in Mumbai. MTNL Mumbai 3G tariff plans starts from Rs.250 per month at very affordable entry cost.MTNL’s Chairman and Managing Director R.S.P Sinha gave a demonstration during the launch and he also cited that 3G service will be also available for postpaid Dolphin customer as well as prepaid Trump customers.
To take the a taste of MTNL Mumbai’s 3G Jadu services, any of Mobile subscriber can take a ‘3G Trial Pack.’ For Rs. 99, Where they can use this trial pack for 15 days with data download up to 50 MB of data. Any of excess data usage beyond this, it will cost the Rs. 3 per MB.

The customer can subscribe to any of the existing MTNL Dolphin 2G plans for Voice and SMS being offered by MTNL Mumbai. Along with this they can subscribe to MTNL Mumbai 3G Jadu services as an addon, the tariff details of which are given below-

MTNL announced that it will launch its 3G services in Mumbai next month, as it targets a user base of 1,00,000 for the third generation mobile service by year-end

"We are looking at launching our 3G services in Mumbai next month and looking at 1,00,000 users by the end of this year," MTNL Director (Technical) Kuldeep Singh told reporters in mumbai on the sidelines of a conference 'Managed Services India 2009'.

MTNL had already launched its 3G services in Delhi last year. He further said that MTNL would also expand its 3G services to the remaining parts of Delhi in the next two-three months.
"We will begin aggressive marketing for our 3G services when we would have a good user base and cover major parts of Delhi so this will be after two to three months only," he said.
At present, MTNL offers its 3G Mobille services-Jadoo in central and some of parts of South Delhi.
