Puneet Jain 03 November 2009 Loop Mobile today announced the re-launch of its pay per second plan. As per the new plan, Loop Mobile customers will be charged one paisa per second for all local and STD calls. While this offer is applicable to all new and existing prepaid subscribers of Loop Mobile, the existing subscribers can recharge with Rs. 48 to avail this plan.Commenting on the relaunch of one second plan, Mr. Sandip Basu, Chief Executive Officer, Loop Mobile, said, “We are happy to revive the one second plan for our subscribers to enable them to pay for their actual usage. To introduce plans that enhance user experience along with providing more value for money has always been in our legacy. Though Loop Mobile had pioneered the concept in 2004 and launched it across circles then, we find the market is more receptive to this offer due to increase in both access and acceptability. We are revisiting the service now and are confident that our customers will widely accept it.” | |

Loop Mobile has launched ‘epaid’. This is India’s first-ever premium Mobile service on a prepaid platform. ‘epaid’ entitles subscribers all benefits of a Postpaid and a Prepaid connection bundled together.
Loop Telecom today announced its first call in Karnataka and Kerala as it gears up to extend its presence across the country. Loop Telecom is the first amongst new GSM operators to have started operations in these two states. Last month, Loop Telecom had started its operations in Tamil Nadu & Orissa. BPL Mobile, the country's oldest mobile telecom service provider, has changed its name to ‘Loop Mobile', following the expiry of its brand usage agreement with TPG Nambiar-owned BPL Group.The company, which is facing an ownership battle between Ruias of Essar Group and the UK-based Vodafone, does not expect "any issues" to arise from the name change "Loop is an extension of an ongoing campaign, ‘Get in the Loop', and it will be easy for our subscriber to identify with this new brand name. The new name signifies a vibrant company and appeals to the youth of the country," BPL Mobile Director and CEO Sanjeev Chachondia told here today.The new logo of ‘Loop Mobile' has been designed keeping in mind youthful vitality, excitement and freshness that the company stands for, he added.
