If this article had been just about an average Lava phone, we doubt anyone would have given it much of a thought. But as it is, the mobile market changes its shades dramatically and continues to surprise and excite us. After so many fireworks from brands like Huawei, should our domestic brands stay behind?

Intel had announced at MWC 2012 that is has made Lava Mobiles its OEM partner to manufacture smartphones with Intel based processors. They had also revealed that the Xolo X900 would be the first device. Well, today, both the companies have officially announced the device in India.

The Xolo X900 is the first Intel based smartphone which is being manufactured by Lava Mobiles and will be available in the Indian market this month.

Intel’s CEO Paul Otellini told investors that the company's first smartphone running Medfield processor is ready for launch ‘later this week’ but it seems that we don’t have to wait that long.
Around speculations at to which device will launch first, Lenovo K800 or Lava Xolo X900 it will be Lava Xolo X900 which goes on sale first. Intel and Lava are readying an event to launch the Lava Xolo X900 on April 19 i.e. tomorrow.

Intel had earlier announced about its new breed of Medfield processors and now it has officially announced the first one in its series, the Medfield Z2460. This processor is capable of clocking at a speed of 2 GHz and comes with Intel’s XMM 6260 HSPA+ radio with Hyper-Threading Technology.

It seems that low–cost Android tablets will be the next-in thing in the coming months. After Aakash, many other Indian manufacturers are now planning to launch their own tablets. And one of them is Lava Mobiles, which enjoys a nice share in Indian mobile market.

Speaking on the plans of launching the tablet, Mr. S N Rai said, "Lava will launch an Android 2.3 based tablet in February for Rs 5,500. The tablet will be made available bundled with a service provider's connection and will not be available as a standalone device."

LAVA mobiles has partnered with MTV India to get the newest range of stylish phones for the consumers of today and has unveiled a new phone the Lava A16 MTV Phone which is said to be designed and focused towards the younger generation.

Lava Mobiles has launched the Lava S12, its first Android smartphone in the Indian market. The company has established its R&D center based out of Bengaluru (Karnataka) as well as in China. The handset is loaded with various features, preloaded apps and a rich UI.
The S12 is 13mm thin and has a matte leather finish with rounded top & bottom edges. The UI has 16 customizable home screens, which can be modified by the user as per his requirements and interests. The handset features a 3.2-inch display with a 480 x 320 pixel resolution, a 600MHz processor by Qualcomm, 32GB expandable memory, runs on Android Froyo (2.2), 3G (up to7.2Mbps), 5MP fixed focus camera, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 1300mAh battery.
