LG Optimus 3D to launch in June for European Market

LG had introduced the first ever glasses free 3D smart phone a few months ago called the Optimus 3D. The features of the phone include 4.3-inch 3D touch-screen, Android 2.2 OS, 1GHz processor, dual 5MP cameras with video recording at 1080p (2D), 720p (3D), 8GB of internal memory and expandable up to 32GB, a 3D Hot Key to switch between 2D and 3D modes, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DLNA, 3G connectivity, HDMI output and a 3.5mm stereo jack. The phone UI seems amazing as the phone offers 3D viewing in the UI itself.The official release date for this baby is finally out. It is supposed to be rolling out by 6th June (it may be subject to change) in the European market and soon enough the US market in a couple of days after that.
As far as the Indian launch is concerned, the official date isn’t out yet, but we presume that LG won’t leave their Indian fans disappointed and will launch the Optimus 3D around June itself.

LG rumoured to manufacture MeeGo equipped handsets

Nokia had started the MeeGo platform project in collaboration with Intel. However, Nokia hasn’t launched even a single MeeGo device till date, and only has one rumoured handset that they might release. So where is MeeGo going? Well we have got information from Reuters that LG will be using MeeGo for their devices. LG has joined hands with ZTE and China Mobile to make a better future for the unreleased platform. "It's opening opportunities for the others to come in. Discussions are taking place. The newest addition to the smart phone line-up in India is the LG Optimus 2X. It has been officially launched in India and has been priced at Rs. 30,000. It will be the one of the first smart phones in India that will have a dual-core processor and the first phones to have the Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset.The device will run Android 2.2 but can be update to 2.3 Gingerbread. It has a brilliant 4 inch TFT capacitive touch with 16 Million colours to enjoy full HD 1080p videos and movies. Also, an HDMI-out that gives you full HD output on your television screen or projectors. As far as memory is concerned, it has a sufficient RAM of 512 MB and 8GB of storage which can be expandable upto 32GB. The camera is a stunning 8 mega pixel snapper capable of recording full HD videos at 1080p.

The CPU is the TI OMAP 3630 1 GHz processor which provides high processing speeds. The camera is a 5MP snapper with LED flash. The internal memory is of 2GB and a 512MB RAM. The Optimus Black will cost at Rs. 27000 in the India Market.

LG to manufacture Google Nexus Tablet?

Almost every mobile phone maker is now getting into the tablet arena, so now Google hops in the game. According to a Russian source, Google is planning for a Nexus Tablet. The tablet will be manufactured by LG and will be powered by Android 3.0 Honeycomb. It seems after HTC and Samsung, Google is giving LG a chance to produce a tablet.
The source also includes that devices running Android 2.3 and below won’t be able to update to 3.0 or Honeycomb. But manufacturers have been claiming that they will be updating their devices to 3.0. Let’s see what Google has in mind for the OS as new tablets and mobile phones are coming this year.

LG Optimus One to get an Android 2.3 update, this May

The LG Optimus One which is an entry-level handset has become one of the most popular Android devices launched by LG, with more than 2 million Optimus One smartphones sold worldwide, and the number is still increasing. The Optimus One is powered by a 600 MHz processor and features a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen with 262k colors support and a 320x480 pixel resolution.
A new Android update will be available soon for the Optimus One. The upcoming upgrade has been unveiled via LG Facebook official account, as the company vaguely stated that the update will be available in May.
The Korean manufacturer had earlier stated that the Optimus One would not receive the Gingerbread goodness because it doesn't meet the minimum hardware requirements. However, the company has come back with an official announcement where it said that all Optimus series smart phones would get Android 2.3 upgrade, although no timeframe has been disclosed.

LG launches 3 new mobiles - T30i, T325 & P520 in India

LG Electronics launched three new handsets in the Indian markets. These multimedia centered mobiles are targeted at young users.
LG T30i:
Designed for social networking addicts, this phone supports widgets for twitter, facebook and even orkut with support for comments and sharing media.There is a 2mp camera at the rear and the best part is the inlcusion of Wi-Fi. With support for video and audio playback and FM, this phone has decent amount of multimedia features. At a price of Rs. 5999, if pushed well, this phone can be the new hot seller for LG. LG has also included comic book reader (Mobi Comix) and music sharing application (zap box) in this phone.
LG T325:
This phone sits slightly above T30i in features. While Wi-Fi, 3G video calling are most interesting features, this phone also supports multiple Internet messengers, a highly responsive touchscreen and MobiComix/ZapBox come preinstalled. As per LG, T325 is smooth, fast and memorable. the market price would be around Rs. 6999.
LG P520:
Lately, most big brands have started releasing mainstream and mid-range Dual SIM phone and LG P520 is exactly that. Metallic look, 1500mAh (long life) battery, integratoin of strong social networking sites, handful of internet messengers, Opera moblie browser and quality 2mp camera makes this phone very interesting and this phone is priced at Rs. 7399 and is costliest of the lot.
All three phones come with inbuilt applications like the Mobi Comix and Zap box enhancing the multimedia capabilities.

LG Optimus 2X, the dual core powerhouse to be rolled out in Europe

Pre-sales of LG Optimus Pad kicks off in Japan

The 3D Optimus Pad from LG, which made at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress, will be available in the Japanese market starting March 15, 2011 through NTT DOCOMO. LG Optimus Pad is a Honeycomb based tablet powered by 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor. Also, LG has tried to move away from the concept of 7-inch and 10 inch tablet by having a 8.9 inch screen for this one and us offering native 1280x768 resolution.
When this tablet hits the retails space in Japan, it will be pre-loaded with applications custom-made for local tastes, including BeeTV which offers a wide selection of entertainment contents tailored for DOCOMO customers. It also includes the 2Dfacto application that allows users to access a wide selection of e-books and comics.
Commenting on the launch, Kyu-hong Lee, Vice President and CEO of LG Electronics Japan said “Japanese consumers are among the fastest early adopters and we plan to move very aggressively here with our advanced mobile smart products in 2011.” It will be interesting to watch out how this new tablet from LG’s stable fairs against the native tablet from Toshiba, which too has showcased a glasses-free 3D android tablet.
