LG rumoured to announce Intel chipset equipped Android handset next year

LG is said to be the first manufacturer that will adapt Intel's Medfield chipset that was showcased earlier. News comes straight from Korea Times that says LG will debut an Intel-powered Android smartphone at CES 2012.


Previous joint efforts by the two companies were a complete letdown when LG and Intel together planned to announce an Android handset at CES 2011. The handset was never launched and was eventually cancelled.

LG has made its recently announced PRADA phone by LG 3.0 available in South Korea. The smartphone is now available to Korean customers and will be released in most European countries and other parts of Asia in January.
The handset was in the rumour mill for months and was finally unveiled for the first time at a showcase event in London two weeks ago. The PRADA phone by LG 3.0 is the third handset from the PRADA and LG collaboration following the highly successful PRADA phone by LG 1.0 and 2.0 phones.

We haven't seen the other Korean mobile manufacturer, LG, showing much interest in Windows Phone. The only handset running Microsoft's latest mobile platform was the Jil Sanders E906 which was recently launched in the UK.

LG had announced a month back that it'll soon tell us all the schedule and list of devices that'll get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade.

LG Prada 3.0 officially unveiled

LG and Prada finally revealed their third collaborative device, the LG Prada 3.0, which was spotted and leaked many a times before. So there was nothing surprising in the release as we already knew most of the details of the device.


The design of the Prada 3.0 is totally different and is a simple one but it indeed good to see it competing with other Android device. The device will be available in Black colour.
LG Optimus LTE launches with HD display resolution in Japan

LG Electronics has introduced the Optimus LTE (Model L-01D) smartphone in Japan. The handset has already been launched in North America and Korea and will now be making its way to the land of the rising sun in collaboration with NTT Docomo.

LG and NTT Docomo collaborated to make the Japanese Optimus LTE as unique as possible. The red color available on the Japanese edition of LG Optimus LTE will be available exclusively to Docomo customers as will the 1seg digital TV and NFC (Near Field Communication) features.

So after a long gap we are back with a leaked device and this time around it's LG who has seen its device's pictures getting leaked. And the device in question is said to be LG Optimus Pad or G-Slate's successor.

The tablet is going to be out with LTE which is confirmed on the startup screen. It is said to run on a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm processor, will feature an 8.9 inch TFT screen with a resolution of 1280 x 768. It also has an 8MP camera at the rear and a 1.3MP camera in the front for video calls. The onboard storage is said to be of 1GB but it will include a microSD slot for expandable storage.

Rumours and news have been spilling in but now we have confirmed news that LG's latest handset inspired by the fashion label Prada, will be unveiled this month.
The LG Prada 3.0 aka K2 was previously rumoured to launch in 2012, and sources are claiming that it should be announced this year itself as there is an invite for a launch event in the month of December itself. We had earlier posted a possible leaked image of the device and a small blurry video of the handset in action, so that just might be the real deal.

LG had earlier posted an invitation claiming that all will be revealed on the 1st of December. Of course we all know that it is going to be the LG Nitro HD which will be boasting an HD display.

According to The Verge, the device is going to have a 4.5-inch true HD IPS screen, an 8-megapixel camera, LTE radio, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4GB internal storage plus and a 16GB microSD card will also be included.
