Idea 3G now covering 236 towns in Gujarat

Idea Cellular has expanded its 3G network and now covers 236 towns across 23 districts in Gujarat and 3 Union Territories.  Idea’s ‘Gold Standard’ 3G services has added about 5 lakh users on its 3G network and the company has set up a network of around 1400 3G sites to reach out to urban & semi-urban heartlands covering major industrial, agricultural and educational pockets in Gujarat. Idea’s 3G services are now available in major cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot & Gandhinagar and 231 other smaller cities and towns in Gujarat.

Idea offers more than Full Talktime in Kolkata & West Bengal

Idea Cellular has launched a special recharge voucher for its users in Kolkata & West Bengal. The new voucher will enable Idea prepaid subscribers to make Local, STD and ISD calls at affordable rates during the upcoming festival season, and also get more value for money.

The new special recharge voucher offers more than Full Talktime, as Idea is now offering Rs. 42 worth of Talktime on a recharge of Rs. 35. Idea users in Kolkata and West Bengal can avail this offer and can recharge with the new voucher which will also enable them to make Local and STD calls at just 40 paise/min. Talktime validity is for 7 days from the day of the recharge.

Idea expands 3G network over 100 towns in Maharashtra & Goa

Idea Cellular today announced that it has expanded its 3G network by providing 3G services in 10 major cities and 100 other towns in the Maharashtra & Goa telecom circle. Idea Cellular launches 3G services in Chennai

Idea has launched 3G services in Chennai, joining hands with Vodafone, using their existing 3G networks in the state.

Airtel, Vodafone, Aircel and BSNL are the only operators in the Chennai and TN circle who are licensed to provide 3G services currently. However, a recent tower sharing agreement between Airtel, Idea and Vodafone was signed enabling each of the operators to provide pan-India 3G coverage by sharing their High Speed 3G networks in all circles.
