HTC EVO 3D coming to India? [Updated]

htc evo 3d smartphone india
There have been rumors that HTC EVO 3D will soon be available to the consumers in India. Today, we got an invite from people at Qualcomm to attend a launch event where they, along with HTC, will announce a new device. Expecting that HTC will soon send out the invites for the same event. We expect HTC to officially announce the launch of HTC EVO 3D in India. If HTC EVO 3D would be announced it will be the second 3D smartphone launched in India in this month. LG recently announced launch of its 3D device Optimus 3D, which will be available from September. LG Optimus 3D comes at prices of Rs. 37,000 while we do not have the price details of HTC EVO 3D, but some online mobile stores are quoting its price at Rs. 25,000. There is not much difference between the specs of these two devices and if HTC EVO 3D will be available at Rs. 25,000 then it would be obviously sell more than the Optimus 3D. So is the 3D smartphone market heating up already? It's too early to say, let's wait and watch.

Update : HTC Evo 3D launched, its priced at Rs. 35,990.

The Phone House, a Dutch online retailer had recently listed a new HTC device which was taken off later from the site. The HTC Vigor will be one of the many leaked HTC handsets which will be launching in the coming months.

The posted spec sheet by the website reveals some amazing facts about the handset. The Vigor will have a 4.3 inch HD display with a 1280 x 720 resolution, a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, Android 2.3.4, and integrated Beats Audio Technology thanks to its latest deal with the audio-tech company.  It will also include HTC Sense 3.5 and an 8MP camera at the back.

Now that certainly seems to be a high-end smartphone, I wonder how costly the handset is going to be?

It’s payback time, now HTC sues Apple

apple-vs-htc
Apple Inc. has been accusing HTC for patent infringement for the past two year and has filed a number of lawsuits in Delaware. But now in a counter attack, HTC has sued Apple, and claims that Apple has infringed three patents through its sale of Macintosh computers, iPads, iPods, iPhones and other devices.

According to its complaint, HTC obtained the patents that it believes Apple is infringing in 2008 and 2010. The lawsuit filed by HTC in the U.S. District Court in Delaware seeks to halt Apple's importation and sale of infringing products in the United States. The lawsuit also seeks compensatory damages, triple damages for wilful infringement and other remedies.

HTC Desire Gingerbread update starts rolling with a warning

desire gingerbreadThe Android 2.3 update for the HTC Desire is now rolling out and should reach all regions soon. The update has been under the shadows for quite some time now due to issues with the ROM. But the update is still not perfect. HTC says that the new update will be a stripped down version and might be missing some features and goodies.

The new update is said to be heavily modified so as to fit the memory confines of the Desire. The new update will be missing several HTC apps, the official Facebook app and even all of the wallpapers. Operator customizations previously present have also been stripped away, and HTC warns that SMS/MMS may not work after the update; probably the settings have been taken out, which you might have to handle yourself.

HTC is also recommending the update for expert users/developers for development use only and not for general public use as you may lose your data from your microSD card and also may not have access to it.
