HTC has been rumoured of launching a powerful full QWERTY-keyboard equipped slider handset called the Doubleshot. Well the handset has made a little appearance thanks to T-Mobile. The handset will be called the myTouch 4G on the T-Mobile network.

The handset has also been approved by the FCC making a clear runway for its launch. We hope that the handset is not limited to the T-Mobile network as the myTouch 4G and we get to see the global version as the Doubleshot as well.

The rumoured features of the QWERTY horizontal slider include Android 2.3.4, HTC’s Sense 3.0 UI, a dual-core Qualcomm processor, an 8-megapixel camera with a front facing camera and a 3.7-inch display.

HTC Holiday for AT&T has some ‘Gigantic Specs’

The HTC Holiday for the AT&T network is said to be one big smart phone packing some pretty nice features. The features have been confirmed by 911sniper, who has been providing details on HTC smart phones for quite some time now.

The smart phone is said to have a 4.5 inch (960 x 540) display, which is very untraditional and looks pretty big. The processor will be a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8660 and the phone will boast a bulk of 1GB of RAM. An 8 megapixel camera at the back and a 1.3 megapixel camera in the front for video calls. Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB will be the connectivity features and all of this will be powered by the latest version of Android Gingerbread.

HTC Flyer Tablet now available in Europe

HTC’s Flyer tablet is now available in the European market from their official website. The tablet is also available in-store in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Romania

The 3G + WiFi HTC Flyer features 32GB of onboard memory which can be expanded with a microSD card of up to 32GB and costs at £599.99. The second variant will be available for £479.99 and features WiFi connectivity and expandable 16GB memory. Both versions will come with the HTC Flyer Magic PenTM that will work with HTC’s Scribe Technology for an alternative to fingertip interaction and costs about $80 dollars if you buy it separately.

HTC ChaCha and Salsa available for Pre-Order on Amazon UK

The new Facebook phones by HTC, the ChaCha and Salsa are available on Amazon UK for pre-order. The HTC Chacha is priced at £249 (Rs.18000) and the Salsa at £319 (Rs.23000). The availability is dated 26th June, so the waiting time for delivery will be well over a month.

The ChaCha has a portrait QWERTY keyboard and a 2.6-inch touch screen, while the Salsa just has a 3.4 inch touch screen. Both run on a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processors and 512MB of RAM and will have the Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform.

HTC ChaCha launching in Germany on the 18th of June

HTC_ChaChaHTC is planning for a party in Germany to launch the HTC ChaCha Facebook phone. The HTC ChaCha was unveiled in February along with HTC Salsa, another Facebook phone. HTC had announced a similar gathering and hosted a party in London last month for the launch of the HTC Sensation.

Both the phones are scheduled to launch in Q2 and are said to be on sale before mid-June in Europe and soon reach the US operators as well. We’ll be waiting for the two handsets, especially the ChaCha as it is the first of its kind HTC phone that has a messenger form factor.Other features include Android 2.3.3, a 2.6 inch 480 x 320 pixel landscape touchscreen, physical QWERTY keyboard, a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera.It also features a dedicated Facebook button for one-touch access to the key functions of the Facebook service that are integrated throughout the HTC Sense experience. The Facebook button is context-aware, gently pulsing with light whenever there is an opportunity to share content or updates through Facebook. With a single press of the button, users can update their status, upload a photo, share a Website, post what song they are listening to or 'check in' to a location and more.

HTC Doubleshot/T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide’s ROM Leaked and has some Amazing Specs [Rumour]

A new HTC smart phone is on the leak again, called the HTC Doubleshot or the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide. The ROM of the device was recently leaked by 911sniper and also some exciting specs were released.

The rumoured specs say it will have Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660 1.2GHz Dual Core CPU with the Adreno 220 GPU, 768MB of RAM, a 3.7 inch WVGA LCD display, a QWERTY slider keyboard, an 8MP rear camera (720p/1080p 3D recording and 720p/1080p 2D recording) and a front VGA camera, HSDPA category 10 and HSUPA category 6, codecs for 3D playback (which indicates it might just have a 3D display), Broadcom BCM4329-B1 chipset which supports Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz/5GHz, and has an integrated FM Receiver/Transmitter.

The specs seem up-to the class, and if the rumours prove out to be true, it will surely be one of the most desired HTC devices.

Wi-Fi only HTC Flyer Tablet coming soon as it gets FCC approval

HTC should launch their first tablet really soon as it has got the approval by the FCC. The Wi-Fi version was recently stamped as approved and we should see it launching anytime in May.

The tablet’s specifications include a 7-inch display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread which be updated to Honeycomb, 1.5GHz single-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 5MP rear camera and 1.3MP front and a uni-body aluminium design just like the HTC smart phones. The cost is speculated to be around $499, which seems a little steep considering the features it has.

HTC to deliver a 16 Mega Pixel camera equipped Windows Phone? [Rumour]


We bumped into an advertisement showing an HTC smart phone equipped with a 16MP camera with dual-LED flash and the front soft keys on the device suggest that it is a Windows Phone. Now we would love to see such a device, but is HTC really going to launch a smart phone with such a big camera sensor on-board? Well if they do, it will be something fascinating considering it is powered by the WP7 platform. For now we can’t confirm any news, so we shall tag it under the rumour mill.

Windows running HTC Mazaa in the rumour mill

htc-logoA Windows Phone by HTC is on the leak. Being called the Mazaa, it has a nice metal design, a 3.7 inch screen, a camera with an LED flash, etc. Also we heard that it will boast DDR2 RAM (ones used in computers), which means a seriously fast RAM.

HTC announces a new Smart Phone: The HTC Sensation 4G

Taiwanese Smart Phone giant HTC has added another one in their family of fast selling smart phones. The HTC Sensation 4G is the latest offering by HTC and it packs some serious hardware. It has a big 4.3 inch qHD display with resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. The 8MP snapper is capable of recording full HD 1080p videos, and is backed up by a dual-LED flash. It will come with Android 2.3 gingerbread with the HTC sense UI. Connectivity features include USB, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, HSPDA and HSUPA, DLNA, TV-out option, etc. The processor handling all these features is the Qualcomm MSM 8260 Snapdragon 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with the Adreno 220 GPU. The internal memory will be 4GB and 768MB of RAM and off course expandable memory of up to 32GB.
