HTC Ville C pops up with leaked specs, reminds us of the One S

HTC just made its HTC Desire C official yesterday and today we see specs of another upcoming smartphone from the HTC camp. The device in question is the HTC Ville C which going by the specs seems to be quite similar to the HTC One S.
According to the source, the HTC Ville C will go on to arrive with a 4.3 inch touchscreen and would be powered by Qualcomm’s 1.2 GHz dual-core MSM8260 S3 processor with 1 GB of RAM.

Just yesterday we saw the press shot of HTC Desire C leak over Vodafone Portugal, and today HTC has officially launched the device. The HTC Desire C was previously known as HTC Golf and also HTC Wildfire C but has landed in HTC’s Desire range of smartphones.


The HTC Desire C is a budgeted smartphone packed with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0 on top of it, bundled with Beats Audio but arrives without the headphones.

Past week, we saw the upcoming but yet-unannounced HTC Desire C leak a couple of times and also heard about the low-end specs of the device, but now thanks to Vodafone Portugal, we get to see the device in an official press shot and specs which went on to leak by the mobile operator by mistake.
Vodafone Portugal got so excited that it listed the device in its May catalogue even before the makers of the device, HTC announced it officially. And as it was expected, the device will arrive with the name, HTC Desire C and the Wildfire branding is off which we heard in the initial leaks.

Just last month we saw a press shot of the HTC Golf (Codename) and at that time we expected it to go on to be released as the HTC Wildfire C.
But now, guys at ITProPortal have posted some hands-on images which they received. According to them, the HTC Golf will go on to be called HTC Desire C instead of the Wildfire C, which if true will see HTC resurrecting the Desire brand for this entry-level product.

So, Digitimes is back with new information associated with HTC developing a separate Facebook smartphone and Google is to stay with Samsung for the next Nexus smartphone.
First up, we have seen HTC release a couple of devices namely the HTC Salsa and HTC ChaCha with dedicated Facebook buttons on them for quick access to the Social networking site. HTC has announced a new smartphone for Japan which will come packed with WiMAX. The HTC J will be available via the KDDI network in the country and it pretty much has the same specs as the HTC One S.

The specs of the HTC J include a Snapdragon S4 chipset with a 1.5GHz dual core processor, a 4.3" AMOLED display with qHD resolution, 16GB of built-in memory and a microSD card card slot, an 8MP camera on the back and a 1.3MP camera in the front, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, Bluetooth and an infrared port.

We recently saw HTC confirming that it will now not bundle Beats Audio accessories with its smartphones and this went out to give an indication that the company is not happy with the integration of HTC and Beats Audio.

Android ICS update for HTC Sensation and Sensation XE rolling out globally

HTC is said to have started rolling out the newest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich updates for the Sensation and the Sensation XE for several regions around the globe. It was back in February when the company had announced that it will be rolling out updates for the Sensation family in March and various regions in Europe had started getting the update.


Countries including Germany, UK, France and the Netherlands started getting their updates in April, while Malaysia got it two weeks back.

The recently launched quad-core beast by HTC, the One X is quite a performer. However, users aren’t very happy with the battery performance. Being a quad-core processor equipped smartphone the handset is said to give a full one day charge on a normal daily usage.


But the Tegra 3 has a special battery optimizing core, which should save battery, right? Well the developers at XDA forum seem to have found a fix which might just boost up the battery performance on the One X.

It had been since we saw a HTC get leaked, thanks to the company’s decision of releasing less but quality devices unlike last year. And when it does get leaked, it has to be by PocketNow.
They guys have managed to get their hands on the HTC Golf (Codename) which is going to be an entry level Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) running smartphone by HTC. It is being said that the HTC Golf will arrive with the official branding as HTC Wildfire C, joining its predecessors the HTC Wildfire and Wildfire S.
