New Triband Bill Cap Plans by MTNL Mumbai

mtnl-logoMTNL has launched new Unlimited Plans for its Triband Users. The new plans are called the Bill Cap Plans and includes two options for the users with flexibility of paying as per usage. The Freedom 297 plan, in which the users have to pay a monthly rental of Rs. 297/- and in return the customers get 1GB of data usage free. After free usage the applicable charges are 30paise per MB.The Freedom 497 plan, has a monthly rental of Rs. 497/- and customers get 5GB free data usage and 10paise per MB is charged after the free usage.

Speed offered on the plans is 2 Mbps and it will be charged on the basis of usage till the amount of Rs. 999, after which users get unlimited broadband usage at a speed of 256 Kbps with no extra charge. Availing these plans can also get customers a special offer of discount on modem charges of upto Rs. 600/-

Exclusive : BSNL to offer Online Recharge Facility for Prepaid Broadband & WiMAX

bsnl-broadbandThe day is not far when BSNL will start offering online recharges for its  Prepaid Broadband service and WiMAX. (Currently one needs to visit BSNL Customer Service Centers or BSNL franchisees to get a recharge.) We have learned from our sources that the state owned operator will start offering online recharge service for its Prepaid Broadband and WiMAX from 14th March 2011 through its selfcare portal http://www.data.bsnl.in. Initially BSNL will offer online recharge facility only through Debit Cards and Bank accounts.

Puneet adds : This online recharge facility for Broadband and WiMAX will surely make the recharge process easier and this online recharge facility may help BSNL to get new subscribers for its Prepaid Broadband service. However it would have been better if option for recharge though Credit cards would also have been offered, but none the less its a good move by BSNL and I expect BSNL to introduce online recharges through Credit Cards soon.

MTNL waives off Activation and testing charges for broadband customers.

mtnl-logoMTNL Broadband (Mumbai) has announced a limited period offer for its customers who want to book Unlimited Broadband plan of Rs. 599 and above. Under the newly announced scheme onetime activation and testing charges worth Rs 300 will be waived off.

MTNL offers various unlimited monthly plans, DSL unlimited 599 with 512 kbps speed and monthly rental of Rs. 599, DSL unlimited 749 with 752 kbps speed and monthly rental of Rs. 749, and DSL unlimited 999 with 1Mbps speed and monthly rental of Rs. 999, other higher speed unlimited plans are also available.

Exclusive : BSNL announces Zero Rental Broadband Plan

It is a promotional plan and it will be available in all telecom circles till 31st March 2011. The new plan is basically a 'Pay as you Go' Plan, as it offer no free download/upload. Users of this plan will be charged Re. 1/MB upto 1 GB and 20 paise per MB thereafter. It is very easy to make out that this plan is not offer those who use more than 500 MBs in a month as you can get Unlimited Broadband 256 Kbps plan at Rs. 500 per month. MTS launches MBlaze, Its High Speed Mobile Broadband Service in 7 Towns in Rajasthan

mts-india-logoMTS India extends it’s mobile broadband service by announcing the launch of it’s high-speed mobile broadband service MBlaze in certain cities/towns of Rajasthan.  MBlaze is now available in seven towns- Alwar, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Bikaner, Kankroli, Banswar and Rajnagar in Rajasthan and is expected to take the count to 33 towns across the state.

The service will come at tariff of 10 paise per MB with no roaming charges. Apart from the introduction of usage plans starting from just around Rs.198, MBlaze will allow customers to enjoy the advantage of free surfing on popular websites such as Yahoo, Wikipedia and MakeMyTrip.

BSNL announces new Broadband Plan and restructures existing plans

bsnl-broadbandBharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has decided to give some relief to its Broadband customers from the rising inflation. BSNL has announced restructuring of its existing Postpaid Broadband Plans and launch of a new Unlimited Plan BBG Combo ULD 850. Alongwith this BSNL also announced that it will not offer some of its existing plans to its new subscribers.

BSNL Broadband : BB Home UL 499 is now a regular plan

bsnl-broadbandIn the month of September BSNL announced Unlimted Broadband Plan - BB Home UL 499 as a promotional offer. BSNL has now announced that this plan is now a regular plan.

The  BSNL Broadband Plan - 'BB Home UL 499' is available at a monthly charge of Rs. 499 and provides Unlimited Usage with bandwidth of 256 Kbps. 'Annual Payment Option' is available for this plan, those who want to avail Annual Payment Option need to pay Rs. 4990.

Exclusive : BSNL to offer Broadband without Landline

Guys this is a quick post so not much details are included.

Most of the people who do not own a BSNL landline are irked by the fact that to get the BSNL Broadband connection they must have a BSNL landline also. We have learnt from our sources that BSNL is planning to provide Broadband connections without BSNL Landline. However nothing has been finalized yet and no time frame is available as yet.

BSNL already own a large chunk of Broaband market share in India and it seems if BSNL provides Broadband connections without landline then it will surely increase its market share.

Zylog launches "Wi5", fixed wireless broadband service in Punjab

zylog-wifiZylog, today announced the launch of its ‘Wi5’ fixed wireless broadband services in Punjab. This service will be available in cities like Ludhiana, Kharar, Zirakpur, Hoshiarpur and Mohali in the first phase and will later be extended to other parts of the state.

Zylog would soon set up a Regional Customer Care Centre in Mohali that would cover the entire state to ensure hassle free user experience. Zylog’s Wi5 will offer various unlimited internet plans with download speeds ranging from 256 kbps upto 2Mbps starting from Rs. 499. The company plans to retail network subscription to individual users on an advance rental basis. 

The various plans available for the customers are:
  • 256 Kbps : Rs. 499 per month + tax
  • 512 Kbps : Rs. 699 per month + tax
  • 1 Mbps     : Rs. 899 per month + tax
Also available 256 Kbps plan with 2 GB data limit for just Rs 250 per month + tax
Currently Zylog's wifi operates in 5 states and they plan to expand it to atleast 7 states in this financial year. Zylog is expecting to complete the Wi5 project in Punjab by February 2011 and attain a subscriber base of around 25,000 by March 2012.

BSNL re-launches Broadband Promotion scheme - Unlimited download and Waive off Installation Charges

bsnl-broadbandBharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd has announced the relaunch of its Broadband Promotion scheme which allows 15 days Unlimited Free download and waiver of installation charges to the new customers who will register for BSNL Broadband connection before 15th November 2010.

According to our sources BSNL is planning to introduce this promotional scheme in all the telecom circles, however there may be some delay in launch of this scheme is certain circles. Please visit your nearest BSNL Customer Care Centre and confirm if this scheme is available in your circle.
