Tata Teleservices Limited today announced the launch of Photon TV, a new application that allows Tata Photon Plus subscribers to watch live television channels on their laptops while on the move, and on their personal computers at home and in the office. The Photon TV service is exclusively available to Photon Plus users.

A personal computer- and laptop-based video-streaming application, Photon TV allows Tata Photon Plus users to view live TV feed from various sports, news, entertainment and regional channels, and to watch recorded TV shows from the library (viz Coffee with Karan, Zoom, Pogo, etc), movies, music and videos on demand.

The Web Registration for Broadband Usage Alerts of your BSNL Broadband connection is available at http://bbusage.bsnl.in. This service is valid for both old and new customers of BSNL having Broadband usernames with underscore '_' and at the rate '@' sign. The SMS alerts will come every week giving you brief details about your Broadband usage.

You need following details for getting usage alerts like your Telephone Number with STD Code, your Broadband Username, Your Mobile Number and an Email address. Now you can keep check on your hefty broadband bills.

Broadband penetration could be raised from the present seven million to 100 million subscribers by 2012 if Television could be used as an end user device, according to Mr. Vijay Yadav UT Starcom India managing director for South Asia. This way it could reach out to 700 million people including largely people in the rural areas, said Mr.Yadav at 6th Broadband Tech India 2009 here today. Already One lakh people are benefiting an enriched information and communication stream through a pioneering project using IPTV format to reach the users on the networks of BSNL, Bharti Airtel etc.
