BlackBerry Milan possibly scrapped

Remember the BlackBerry 10 running Milan which was rumoured to have a 4.2 inch touchscreen with a full QWERTY physical keyboard? Well rumours are doing the rounds suggesting that RIM has decided to finally scrap the device for some unknown reason.

Many reasons can be attributed behind the scrapping of the device. The device may have faced hardware issues which could have not been possible to solve given the huge size of the device. Also the next-gen OS, BlackBerry 10 may not have been suiting well with the touch and type format.

RIM slashes the prices of the BlackBerry PlayBook to $199

One of the most ambitious tablets for 2011 has been the BlackBerry PlayBook. However, it didn't reach the levels of expectations that the consumers or RIM assumed.

RIM clarifies its stand on the 'BBM' trademark issue

RIM now faces another legal case for using the term 'BBM'

The problems for Research in Motion (RIM), the makers of BlackBerry, are not ready to stop. First RIM named its new OS as BBX and later was forced to change it to BlackBerry 10 due to a legal issue and now RIM's most popular feature, the BlackBerry Messenger, otherwise called the BBM, is under fire.

A Toronto-based company called BBM Canada is taking RIM to courts for infringing on their "BBM" trademark. RIM's BlackBerry Messenger or the BBM is that one service that is saving RIM from a major downfall. The BBM service has over 50 million subscribers and offers them encrypted instant messaging between BlackBerry users.

BlackBerry Playbooks worth $1.7 million stolen

At a time when the stock prices of Research in Motion (RIM), the makers of BlackBerry are going down to the lowest and the company's profit and market share is also declining, BlackBerry Playbooks worth $1.7 million are reported to be stolen.

This incident has taken place at The Pilot Travel Center off State Road 67, west of Interstate 69, in Chesterfield, Indiana, when the driver of a truck has stopped to take bath and some food. The driver was transporting 22 pallets of the tablet computers from the Bright Point Distribution Center in Plainfield to Ontario, Canada. The driver said he had a computer, credit cards and clothing which were inside the truck.
