BlackBerry Torch 9810 launches officially in India

Research In Motion (RIM) has officially launched the BlackBerry Torch 9810 in India. The Torch 9810 is an upgrade for the original Torch 9800 and will be faster thanks to its new hardware and the all new BlackBerry 7 OS.   

The handset features a 3.2 inch high resolution all-touch display plus slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It has 8 GB of onboard memory which is expandable up to 32 GB with a micro SD card and a 5MP camera capable of taking high resolution pictures and 720p video recording. The processor has been upgraded to a 1.2GHz processor with 768MB of RAM to provide smooth performance. Other features include Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, and also features augmented reality thanks to the Wikitude World Browser.


The Torch 9810 is priced at Rs. 29, 990.

BlackBerry Tablet OS unofficial v2.0.0.3013 update leaks

Various forums have posted that the BlackBerry Playbook’s firmware has been updated to V2. No official confirmation is out yet, and neither has BlackBerry made any official announcement. There are some shots of the PlayBook with the new update and also show the Active Sync feature, which will surely make some of you pretty happy.

RIM to launch QNX equipped BlackBerry devices to run Android Apps

RIM had earlier announced that the Android App player will be able to run Android apps on the BlackBerry platform, particularly on the PlayBook. However it did not succeed as well as it was planned. Now according to sources at Bloomberg, the company will be launching the QNX Blackberrys in the coming year which will be able to run Android apps right out of the box.

The Android App Player will be part of the stock software on the new upcoming QNX BlackBerry devices and this certainly means that users will now have more range of applications available for the devices. This can be RIM’s last attempt at bringing the cross-platform concept to the BlackBerry, let’s hoep they make sure the apps do work on the devices this time.

Research in Motion announces the new BlackBerry Curve 9350/9360/9370 handsets

Three new BlackBerry smartphones have been announced by RIM which continues the Curve legacy, namely the BlackBerry Curve 9350, BlackBerry Curve 9360 and BlackBerry Curve 9370. All three are the same handsets with different cellular frequency abilities and will be running on the latest BlackBerry OS 7.

All of the models will have the original full-QWERTY keyboard design, an 800MHz processor with 512MB RAM, a 2.4 inch 480x360 pixel HVGA display, a 5MP camera with flash, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi, and a 1000 mAh battery. The Curve 9370 will be a global handset, and will have 1GB of internal memory will the other two will have 512MB of internal memory onboard, off course you can upgrade up to 32GB with a microSD card.

BlackBerry Bold 9900 launches in India

Reasearch in Motion has launched the BlackBerry Bold 9900 in India today which will be the first of the newest devices that will run on the BlackBerry’s latest OS 7. The handset is also a first touch-and-type offering from the company with a nice sleek and lightweight design.

The new Bold 4, as it is being called, boasts a 2.8 inch capacitive touchscreen which is a 24bit display ansd ahs a 640x480 resolution. It has a 1.2GHz processor with 768MB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory and it is expandable upto 32GB. The full QWERTY-keyboard has an optical track-pad, a feature usually seen on a BlackBerry device. The camera is 5MP unit with capabilities of recording videos at 720p. Other features of the device include a 3.5mm jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, Augemented Reality, GPS and 1230mAH battery.

Boasting the new OS the handset will have the latest BlackBerry Messenger 6, which will be integrated throughout the handset and can be accessed from anywhere, even inside an app without having to switch to the messenger itself. New concepts like, NFC will be integrated into the battery cover of the device and Augmented Reality with the Wikitude browser, are some of the new attractions for the smartphone.

RIM announces BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930, Torch 9850/9860 and Torch 9810

BlackBerry now has some new handsets in its lineup as RIM has announced 3 new handset models in the US. The BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930, Torch 9850/9860 and Torch 9810 are now finally official after being followed by numerous rumours and leaks. All of the handsets will run BlackBerry 7, and an all new HTML5 compliant browser.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 has a full QWERTY keyboard coupled-up with a capacitive touchscreen, a 1.2GHz processor, 768MB of RAM, HSPA+ 14.4Mbps wireless, a 5-megapixel with 720p HD camera, WiFi and GPS.

The BlackBerry Torch 9850/9860 is an all-touch device which seems to be a successor of the Storm series. It has 3.69-inch touchscreen display, a 1.2GHz processor, HSPA+, Liquid Graphics and a 5MP camera with 720p video recording.

The BlackBerry Torch 9810 is a touch-QWERTY hybrid slider, the successor of the original Torch packing in a touchscreen and a slide out QWERTY keyboard. It has the same Liquid Graphics, 1.2GHz CPU, 768MB of RAM, HSPA+, and the same 5MP camera.

All of the handsets are being launched on AT&T and the Torch 9810 will be launching first in the US this month followed by rest later this year.

BlackBerry Torch 9810 makes an appearance

The BlackBerry Torch 2 aka Torch 9810 has made an appearance in the US in a banner. The ad confirms that the device is coming soon and it will also be coming in a 4G avatar for US customers through AT&T and other operators. You can even sign up to be updated about the phone release in the US.

The slider will boast the BlackBerry 7 OS, a full QWERTY keyboard, a capacitive touch screen, 1.2GHz processor, 8GB of onboard memory, 32GB of expandable storage, 720p video capture, inbuilt WiFi and support for the carrier's HSPA+ network.

We can’t wait for the handset to be official, and we hope RIM won’t let its fans wait much longer.
