Official F1 2012 Timing App now available for the BlackBerry PlayBook

With the racing season already on its way, the official F1 2012 timing app is now also available on the BlackBerry PlayBook. Developed by Soft Pauer, the app was demonstrated at last week’s BlackBerry World event and includes an array of great features.
The app gives you more than 130 hours of live F1 coverage, gives you access live to timing and track positioning for all F1 sessions over a race weekend P1, P2, P3, qualifying and race for the 2012 Formula One World Championship.

There are various gateways that let you send free text (SMS) messages from your mobile phone like Way2SMS, Fullness, Site2SMS, etc. For that you usually have to visit the webpage, compose the message and then send it.
Well now there is an app on the BlackBerry platform that directly sends your SMS through these gateways for free.

We know the team behind Foursquare added the new NFC features for Android and Symbian devices so that they can easily check-in at places by simply tapping on NFC tags/stickers.
Well now the same feature has been added for the app on the BlackBerry platform. Foursquare has updated its app for BlackBerry smartphones today and has added the ability to check in to a location using the phone's NFC features.

There are loads of games that we wish to buy but then they go on to carry a price tag, which we are hesitant to pay for and wish the game was free. We know that the game would never be free but hey we do know that there are times when makers of the games put it on sale.

A few weeks back, the latest instalment in the Angry Birds series, Angry Birds Space had arrived in the BlackBerry App World for the BlackBerry Playbook. But then within a few hours, the app was taken down for unknown reasons.
But starting today, the game is back again in the App World and now BlackBerry Playbook users will also be able to enjoy the slinging the Angry Birds in zero gravity.

Research in Motion (RIM), after releasing a loads of beta versions of the BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) in the BlackBerry Beta Labs has today announced the release of a stable version for all users in the BlackBerry App World.
The stable version 6.2.0.44 brings sin a few new features to the BBM and also loads of bug fixes.

Samsung’s own in house messaging service ChatOn is now available for BlackBerry devices. With this addition the company has finally made it a proper multi-platform messaging service as it is now available on iOS, Android and Bada.
The multi-platform mobile messaging service lets you send text, images and video clips between any device that uses the ChatOn messaging service.

Twitter for BlackBerry and Facebook for BlackBerry have both received a minor yet worthy update in the BlackBerry Beta Zone.
With this update the version of the Twitter for BlackBerry reaches v3.0.0.20, Whereas Facebook for BlackBerry, now stays at version 3.0.014. There are a number of bugs fixes and a few new features that have been released for both the apps. Complete changelog and download link after the break.
