BSNL hikes the rates of BSNL Tunes

BSNL has revised the monthly charges of its BSNL tunes to Rs 30 per month from the existing Rs 28 per month. All new users whether landline, GSM or CDMA will be charged Rs 30 per month for BSNL tunes from 7th March onwards. But existing users will be charged Rs 28 for renewals if their renewals falls before 6th April, 2011. From 6th April, 2011 onwards all users( landline, GSM or CDMA) will be charged a flat rate of Rs 30 per month for BSNL Tunes be it activation or renewal.BSNL now offering Movies Online in association with hungama

BSNL has tied up with digital music distribution company Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Ltd to launch Music-on-demand & gaming service. Now BSNL users can download movies on to their mobiles or can stream online & watch. The service is available till 31st July, 2011.The offer is available in the following plans:
Streaming Plan: In this plan the user has option to watch it directly online. The user can start playing the movie immediately, pause & resume again as per his/her convenience.
Downloading Plan: Under this plan the user can download the movie. Once downloaded it can be viewed many times & can be transferred also making user the owner of it.

BSNL bid adieu to Unlimited 3G Plans

In a move that could disappoint many, BSNL has decided to do away with its very popular Unlimited 3G Plans alongwith Unlimited GPRS Plans. Shocked! BSNL will now no longer provide Unlimited 3G usage to its customers. BSNL announced two new plans for its 3G Postpaid and Prepaid users whereby it will offer free data usage of 15GB and 35 GB. The new plans announced by BSNL are still cheaper than other 3G Plans offered by other players in the market.Revised Postpaid Tariff :

These new tariffs will be applicable from 18th February 2011, so you have 3 days to get your mobile recharged with unlimited plan.
We have learned from our sources that reason behind BSNL's this move is misuse of BSNL 3G by many consumers whose downloads exceeded over 900 GB in a month which resulted in network troubles.

The operator has announced Promotional offers for its Prepaid and Postpaid customers.BSNL has reluanched its promotional offers for it postpaid customers. BSNL will provide unlimted downloads at 2 Mbps to the New Customers who will register new Broadband Connections before 31st March 2011. BSNL has come up with new 3G Plans for its Prepaid and Postpaid customers. If you are thinking about some new unlimited 3G offers, then you are wrong. We have learned from our sources that BSNL will be offering Special 3G Combo Data plan to both is Prepaid and Postpaid consumers from 1st February 2011.
Special 3G Data Plans for Postpaid users

Special 3G Data Plans for Prepaid users

1.The validity in case of 3G prepaid RCV is 30 days. The RCV will increase both main account and dedicated account validity.
2.The free minutes voice/video calls, SMSs and data usage offered with plan are to be consumed within the validity period. No carry forward of unutilized freebies are allowed.
3.Free data usage is available while national roaming also. However, free voice/video calls & SMSs are available from your own telecom circle only.
4.Other charges and usage beyond free limits will be as per normal call charges i.e. base voice plan under 3G service.
5.In case of data plan the customers not purchasing data card from BSNL has to activate through FRC 120.
Recently airtel launched its 3G Services in Karnataka, Chennai and Coimbatore, but the plans which it announced were no where near to what BSNL or MTNL provides.We feel that BSNL and MTNL are giving a tough fight to Private Telecos in terms of 3G Tariff. Yesterday we broke the news about BSNL's plans to announce iPad Data Plans. We have got some exclusive details about what plans BSNL will be providing. BSNL will provide 3G Data Plans for iPad to both its Prepaid and Postpaid consumers. We have also learnt that BSNL will initially offer 3G Data Plans for iPad in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, UP (East), UP (West), Chennai and Kolkata telecom circle. Here are the complete details :
Prepaid Plans :
Starter Pack is priced at Rs. 100, it will come alongwith Free Usage of 1GB/month for 6 months. For Prepaid consumers BSNL will provide 3 Plans namely, Unlimited monthly plan, Limited monthly plan and Daily Plan.

Postpaid Plan :
BSNL will charge one time activation fee of Rs. 100. There is only one plan available for Postpaid users i.e Unlimited Monthly Plan. It will be available at Rs. 999/month with unlimited usage and no FUP.

This is Big, Apple iPad will soon hit India. We have learned from our sources that BSNL is planning to announce that it will offer dedicated iPad Data Plans. We have also got a hint, but can't confirm yet, that BSNL will sell iPad under some 'Bundled Schemes'. The iPad which will be available under offers from BSNL will be iPad with WiFi + 3G. BSNL will be announcing its plans in coming weeks. So, it obvious that if BSNL is planning to announce such plans then the iPad launch is round the corner, let see when it happens.We don't have anymore details right now, but will update you soon with some more details.
