No more free incoming calls while on Roaming. BSNL Withdraws STV 12

BSNL recently introduced a Special Tariff Recharge of Rs. 12 which allowed its subscribers to enjoy unlimited free incoming calls while on roaming. But BSNL has now withdrawn this STV as it is not in accordance with Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's (TRAI) 44th amendment. Those subscribers who are currently using this STV can continue to use it till the end of its validity. It was a very affordable STV and surely must have saved some good money for those who used it, but now its longer available. Sad but true!BSNL (Gujarat) offers Free Unlimited on-net calling

The Voucher comes with a validity of 30 days for a price of Rs. 300. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, country's oldest Telecom Operator has decided to revamp its age old website www.bsnl.co.in. We have learned that the operator is working on a better looking website. The website is still in beta phase. To check out what's cooking at BSNL click here.
Puneet Jain, Chief Editor, MobiGyaan says, "It was needed from a long time and it's good that BSNL realized it and working on a new website. However, personally I feel even the current layout of BSNL's new website is not appealing and BSNL could have hired better people to do the job."
BSNL announces 'Local Night Azadi Pack', offers Free night calling

We will be celebrating our Independence Day in almost a month's time, and to give its CDMA subscribers more Azadi to talk, BSNL has announced 'Local Night Azadi Pack'. Under this STV, which cost Rs. 30, BSNL CDMA users will be allowed to call local BSNL CDMA/WLL numbers for free between 11:00PM to 06.00AM.
This STV will be available from 18th July 2011 and will remain available for 90 days.

BSNL (Gujarat) launches PRBT service for its CDMA users

BSNL CDMA users in Gujarat can now enjoy Personal Ring Back Tone (PRBT) service, the telecom operator announced the launch of CDMA PRBT sservices in the state. This service is available for both CDMA Prepaid and Postpaid subscribers and the codes are similar to GSM PRBT Service.
PRBT Subscription can be done by either dialling 56700 and following IVR or sending SMS { RBT to 56700 }. Charges for IVR (code 56700 ) is Rs 2.00/min and SMS is Rs 2.00/SMS
Subscription charges for PRBT service is Rs 30/Month. Ringtone Charge is Rs 12
BSNL slashes ISD Tariff for Universal India Telephone card (UITC) Users

BSNL has announced heavy reduction in ISD Tariff for certain countries available in Universal India Telephone card (UITC)/ Smart India Telephone card (Smart ITC) of denominations of Rs.300 and above.According to our sources the new reduced tariff will be effective from 23-6-2011 for a period of 90 days.

The offer is if you do not ask for an landline instrument from BSNL, and arrange it for yourself then BSNL will offer you 300 Metered Call Units (MCUs) free over & above the free MCUs available to the plan opted for by the subscriber. BSNL launches VPN over WiMAX (VPNoWiMAX), announces attractive Tariff

BSNL has introduced VPN over WiMAX facility under its WiMAX service. Right now BSNL is only offering this service under Postpaid plans only.
Here are the details VPN over WiMAX Tariff
Tariff of VPNoWiMAX for e-Governance and other projects of Central /State Government :
Terms and conditions:
- The customers will be able to access either VPN or Internet at a time.
- Customer can choose any/none of the existing tariff plans to access internet.
- No downloading/uploading limits have been kept for those VPNoWiMAX plans.
- Annual payment option (with 10 months charges) is available for the WiMAX plans.
- All charges are exclusive of Service Tax.
- Minimum hiring period for VPNoWiMAX – One year

BSNL has decided to offer 10% discount on Fixed Monthly Charges of all 3G Postpaid Data Plan to all Retired Government Employees (Central Government/ State Government/ PSUs). The 10% discount can not be clubbed with any other special discount/concession.BSNL is already offering 10% discount on Fixed Monthly Charges of all 3G Postpaid Data Plan to to Government Employees (Central Government/ State Government/ PSUs).
The above tariff will be implemented with effect from 16.06.2011.
