BSNL introduces new unlimited postpaid WiMAX packs in Tamil Nadu

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in a bid to attract more users and provide better service to its users has now introduces new unlimited WiMAX plans for its users in Tamil Nadu.
If any home user is interested in having a WiMAX connection for 12 months and is able to pay an upfront payment of Rs. 7500 then BSNL will provide him/her with one year of unlimited data transfer with a 54% discount on USB dongle or 36% discount on indoor CPE or 30% discount on outdoor CPE. Whereas if a users opts for 24 months of connection then BSNL will charge on Rs. 13,500 for 2 years of unlimited data transfer with free USB dongle, indoor CPE or outdoor CPE.

Minister of State for Communication and IT, Mr. Milind Deora has said, that Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the state-run national service provider is planning to lease it's infrastructure to private players, so as to make optimum use of the resources available and also to generate some revenue for the ailing PSU.

Deora has in a written reply said, "BSNL has about 60,000 towers across the country. BSNL management has decided to lease out spare capacity of its towers to other private players on commercial terms and conditions to generate incremental revenue." He also said that till now BSNL has shared around 1,072 towers with private service operators which in turn generate revenue for BSNL.

BSNL introduces Kairali plan in Kerala

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a new promotional CDMA Prepaid plan for its users in Kerala telecom circle. BSNL is giving away the RUIM free of cost and will not be charging any activation fee in this plan. All that the user needs to pay is Rs. 48 and gets Rs. 35 as initial talktime and a validity of 180 days.
Call charges for this plan are 49p/min for all on-net and off-net calls all over India. For the first 30 days users will get 50 MB of free data usage. After the free data users will be charged 10p/100Kb during peak hours (07:00AM – 11:00PM) and 5p/100Kb during off peak hours (11:00PM - 07:00AM). Users will also get 300 SMS free (50 SMS for 6 months within BSNL network).
Call charges for this plan are 49p/min for all on-net and off-net calls all over India. For the first 30 days users will get 50 MB of free data usage. After the free data users will be charged 10p/100Kb during peak hours (07:00AM – 11:00PM) and 5p/100Kb during off peak hours (11:00PM - 07:00AM). Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in a bid to serve it users better has announced the availability of new SMS packs and rationalization of existing SMS packs.
BSNL has announced the withdrawal of the existing SMS Boosters of Rs. 32 and 53 with immediate effect and instead introduced three new SMS packs priced at Rs. 36, 46 and 56. SMS pack 36 will allow users to send 3000 Local+ National+ Roaming SMS with a validity of 30 days. With SMS pack 46, users will enjoy sending 4500 Local+ National+ Roaming SMS for 45 days. And with SMS pack 56 users can send a maximum of 6000 Local+ National+ Roaming SMS for 60 days.

State owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has today announced their partnership with Bharat Berry Technologies to provide push mail services to all its users all over India. Bharat Berry has been in a tie up with MTNL for a couple of months in both its Mumbai and Delhi circle for providing push-mail services. And from today the Bharat Berry service has gone Pan-India with BSNL coming in too.

BSNL revises freebies on purchase of new 3G data card
