BSNL Launches 3G Services in Vijayawada and Guntur in Andhra Pradesh

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today launched its 3G GSM mobile services in business city Vijayawada, Guntur, Prakasam and Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh telecom circle. BSNL 3G services allow telecom operators to offer Video calls, high-speed Internet with speed Up to 3.1 Mbps and various multi media services.

According to the BSNL announcement its 3G Network is ready in 29 Cities/Towns across the state and we will roll out the commercial services in all districts by the end of this month. The existing BSNL 2G prepaid mobile subscribers can migrate to 3G services just by one SMS "M3G120" to 53733 while Postpaid 2G subscriber need to send "M3G25" to 53733. Add a comment

BSNL offers Free Games on Demand and Music & Video on Demand service for Broadband Customers

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced that all landline broadband customers getting registered from 16-02-2010 till 30-04-2010 will be able to enjoy free Games on Demand services, free Music & Video on demand service and free Web Conferencing services.

Under Games on Demand service, a you can access a large number of games. You can surf unlimited times and play the games. Normally, BSNL charge Rs.200 per month for this service. Under Video & music on demand, a customer can access internet portal bsnl.hungama.com where more than 60,000 digitized music albums and more than 2000 digitized video music albums are available which includes contents in Hindi, English and Regional Languages. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has launched 3 new BlackBerry plans for its Prepaid and Postapid BlackBerry subscribers.

The new BSNL Prepaid plans are BlackBerry Internet Bundle service plan, BlackBerry Messaging Bundle service plans and BlackBerry Social Networking Bundle service plan.

The latest recharge offer is launched as a gift for upcoming Valentine’s Day. Thsi offer is valid on all Top Up recharges starts from Rs.100 to Rs.5500 denominations.

The Bonus talk-time offer starts from 08 February and valid until midnight of 15 February 2010. This offer is valid on both Paper Recharges and E-Top Up and on the above-mentioned denominations Rs.100 to Rs.5500.

BSNL cross mark of 300 cities for 3G Roll Out

In less than one year, 3G service has been rolled out in 318 cities with 8.56 lakh subscribers. In the first phase of its roll out, BSNL has plans to cross 400 cities by 31st March and 760 cities by September 2010, which will cover all important cities across the country.

BSNL soft launched premium 3G service in Chennai on February 22, 2009. Commercial launch of the service commenced on February 27, 2009 in 11 selected cities in North & East Zones. Service has since been launched in South Zone also.

BSNL's present mobile customer base is 59.5 million and during the last two months average monthly addition has been 2 million connections.

How to subscribe to BSNL 3G (Tamil Nadu) ?

Recently BSNL launched 3G services in Tamil Nadu. BSNL is allowing its customers of 2G post paid and prepaid service to migrate to 3G prepaid/post paid plans of his/her choice free of cost. Customers switching over to 3G prepaid from 2G prepaid will be converted to 3G General Prepaid 120 Plan. These customers can avail the promotional plan /3G prepaid by using the STV 98.It has a free usage of Rs.19 and promotional tariff plan validity for Rs 365 days. At that time, balance amount will be carried over to his 3G prepaid account and validity restricted to 180 days. Add a comment

BSNL Introduces 5 New GPRS Packs

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today announced the launch of 5 new GPRS Packs across India for its 2G Postpaid and Prepaid subscribers. This a good move by BSNL to attract youth segment who generally do not prefer BSNL. Among the 5 GPRS Packs there is one default GPRS Plan - to use it you need not buy any Pack - you will be charged at 3 paise/10KB under this plan. Other four plans costs Rs. 54, Rs. 108, Rs. 219 and Rs. 274.

BSNL launches 3G Services in Tamil Nadu

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the much-awaited 3G-service launch in Tamilnadu Circle. The services are being launched in Coimbatore, Coonoor and Ooty town in the first phase. Gradually 3G services will be introduced in 38 Cities/Towns across Tamil Nadu within next three months.

The total capacity addition planned under Phase V.1 is 23 lakh lines of which 19lakh are for 2G services and 4 lakh lines for 3G. The total expenditure involved is approximately 1000 crores including Rs.130 crores for 3G.

At present, in Tamilnadu circle 3124 sites are in operation for mobile services. 3262 new sites are planned in this project out of which 1119 sites are for 3G services and 2143 sites for 2G. On completion, a total of 6386 sites will be in operation for mobile services through out the circle. Add a comment
