Sabeer Bhatia, co-founder of Hotmail and also CEO of Jaxtr Inc has announced a cross-platform application which will now allow users to send free SMSes from their mobile device to any one, not just in India but all over the world.

JaxtrSMS is developed to work on every mobile platform available out there from iOS, Android, BlackBerry, and J2ME, thus enabling all users to take advantage of the service. Jaxtr Inc CEO and co-founder Sabeer Bhatia said, "We have developed this application that runs on all mobile applications in the world, including iPhones, Androids, Blackberrys, J2MEs, where one can send unlimited free text messages from his phone to any mobile phone in the world."

Opera Mini's second largest user-base is India

According to reports by Opera, the Opera Mini browser's user-base in India ranks second amongst 22 countries and is ahead of the US and Europe. India crossed the one million mark of Opera Mini users back in March 2008 and reached the second largest Opera Mini user-base mark in August 2011.


The Opera Mini browser witnessed a data usage of nearly 180 million MB from India during the year. The current leader is Russia.

Game developers, Zynga has announced and launched a new game called Dream Zoo on the iOS platform. The game is available from the Apple App store and is a zoo themed game where players can collect, breed, and care for the world's most amazing animals in their very own zoo.

In Dream Zoo players create and expand their zoo by breeding animals and not just normal animals, but rainbow giraffes, polka dot baboons, and colorful zebras. Players can connect and visit their friends' zoos to discover different habitats and terrains for a truly social experience. Dream Zoo also enables players to watch their animals grow from babies to adults; building emotional connections with the breeds they created themselves from thousands of animal varieties possible.

Opera Mobile 10.5.1 updated to fix issues

Opera has released an update for Opera Mobile 10.5.1 for all Symbian devices. The previous build 11.5 (1893) had a lot of issues which have been fixed in the new 11.5 (1947) version.
