Mario Romero, a Post Doctoral fellow at the school of interactive computing, Georgia Tech says, “Research has shown that chorded, or gesture-based, texting is a viable solution for eyes-free written communication in the future, making obsolete the need for users to look at their devices while inputting text on them.”

It seems that the Apple iPad, despite selling like hot pies, is still out of reach of the average Joe. According to recent stats, around 40 percent owners of Apple’s famed tablet are usually the rich people with incomes more than $100 K (Rs. 50,00,000) per year while only a fifth of Android tablet users match up in comparison.
Not surprising though, as there is a range of Android tablets available in the market that beat the iPad by a great margin when it comes to pricing. In case, you don’t happen to be an ultra-rich Apple aficionado, there is a tablet out there for every range. Heck, we Indians are spoilt for choice when it comes to tablets and the decision to buy an iPad is actually. Whether it is an Aakash (Rs.1750) or a Wespro (Rs. 5,999) there are just so many Android tablets you can buy in the price of an iPad.

So you thought that Apple products were too costly in India and unaffordable? Well think again! Forbes has just published a report according to which the most expensive Apple products are sold in Brazil. Yeah Brazil!

Thanks to the high taxations imposed by the government in the country, the average price for an Apple device in Brazil stays at $1,348. All this taxation starts with a transaction tax called ICMS, which all the importers need to pay, after this there is a 9% social security tax, followed by industrial production taxes, and hey who can forget the import duties which are also imposed. This doesn’t end here, kindly go on and include the transportation and other costs that are incurred in making the products reach the shops.

Rumour mills are on a roll and so are the leaks accompanying them for the upcoming next generation of iPad from Apple. This time we are hearing and seeing that the Apple iPad 3 may with an A5X processor in contrast to the A6 processor as rumoured earlier.

The A5X processor has been leaked over a Chinese site and it claims that it will be the major component to run the iPad 3. Now going by the naming strategy, if the processor is indeed named as A5X then we can very easily guess that the upcoming iPad may very well be named as the iPad 2S, which could be just an upgraded version of the iPad 2 as it had happened in the case of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

Apple has officially launched a guidebook titled 'Start Developing iOS Apps Today'. Yes, it tells you exactly how to make iOS apps. It’s a thirteen step guidebook for people who wish to develop apps for the iOS platform.

It basically has 13 slides which start with explaining you the tools required, then the interface layout considerations, how to debug, publish and get paid. The guide is pretty good and gives you an idea about how you can accomplish and create an iOS app. But don’t think that just going through the guidebook will turn you into a pro-app developer; a fair amount of coding knowledge is required.

So, your iPad trumps every other tablet when it comes to features. But what about games? The iPad lacks a bit when it comes to playing games, doesn’t it? Well, not anymore. Mattel has come up with a range of toys that will spice up your iPad gaming like never before. These touch-sensitive toys seem quite exciting as they take your Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja to the next level.

Basically, the thing is that toys aren’t the same as they used to be. In case, a company needs to entice people to their games, they need to make much more than just ‘toys’. Mattel has recognized that kids nowadays are graduating fast to tablets and smartphones. How do these toys work, then? Well, what happens is that an apptivity bundle unlocks a special multiplayer mode on your tablet. Then, this toy comes into the picture. It performs various actions for e.g. catching and throwing fruits and bombs in Fruit Ninja. All this happens through a touch-sensitive panel located at the bottom of the toy.
