Remember we shared with you the news about Acer’s CloudMobile winning design award even before its launch and now we see that the device has been spotted in the wild.

The Acer CloudMobile will be the first device to feature Acer’s Cloud based AcerCloud technology which will go on to "enhances mobile productivity by providing seamless document management".

Android ICS running Liquid Glow announced by Acer

Acer has announced a new Android device called the Liquid Glowjust before the MWC. The handset will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and some pretty decent looks with some curves and chrome detailing.

There isn’t any detailed information given about the hardware specifications, only that the smartphone will have a 3.7-inch display, a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, and NFC. The smartphone will come in a range of colours including Sakura Pink, Alpine White, and Cat's-eye Black.

So this is the first time that we are hearing something like this, but Acer’s yet-to-be-announced smartphone, the CloudMobile has already starting winning awards. Acer has said in a statement that the device has won iF Design Award 2012 in recognition of outstanding achievement in design.

Acer launches Iconia Tab A200

Just a week back the promo of Acer Iconia Tab 200 was leaked and now the Taiwanese giant Acer has launched the Iconia Tab A200. Running on NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC chipset, the tablet is powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor clocking at 1GHz each.
The A200 comes with a 1GB RAM and will be available in 8GB and 16GB with a microSD slot for expandable memory. The tablet measures 260 x 175 x 12.4 mm and weighs about 720 grams.
Acer launches an NFC equipped smartphone - Acer Liquid Express

Acer has launched a new Android handset in the UK market called the Acre Liquid Express. The handset is the company's first ever NFC enabled handset and packs in some decent specifications.
The Liquid Express has a 3.5-inch display with 262k colors and 320x480 pixel resolution, an 800 MHz Qualcomm 7227 processor, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB memory card included) and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Acer's custom user interface onboard. The new smartphone is available across UK through several operators.
Acer Iconia A700/701 tablet to have Full HD display and Tegra 3

The Acer Iconia Tab A700/A701 has been spotted amongst a profile documentation on the company’s support site, which goes on to reveal that the tablet will come out with an HD display and a resolution of 1920 x 1200 WUXGA and will boast NVIDIA’s new quad-core chipset, the Tegra 3 onboard.
There is no mention of the OS it would run on, so Honeycomb 3.2 would be default but we expect Acer to bring it out with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The screen size is not specified but it should be no less than 10 inch, to match up the high resolution. The Iconia 700 will be Wi-Fi only and 701 is said to have a 3G radio inside.
Acer’s first Windows Phone ‘Allegro’ launches in France, coming to India in November

Acer’s first Windows Phone mobile, the Allegro is now available in France after it was recently launched in Europe. With the Allegro, Acer has joined the bandwagon of manufacturers developing their devices on Windows Phone 7 platform. The Acer Allegro was also mentioned during the WP launch in India earlier this month and should be available in India anytime in November.
The specs of Allegro are as below:
- 11.6 x 5.9 x 13mm and weighs in at 126g.
- 3.6-inch WVGA (480x800) screen
- Qualcomm MSM8255 1GHz
- 8GB memory
- 5-megapixel camera with LED flash
- Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n
- 1300mAh battery
The Acer Allegro comes with the Fast Charge technology, which is said to charge the battery 2.5 times faster than its other tablets and phones. The phone will be available from mid-November in France and will be available in two colours: white and blue. It is priced at €299.

Acer’s Iconia Tab starts selling on the 15th of May

Acer will be putting up their Iconia Tablet A500 in the market on the 15th of May. Target, a store in the US confirms the availability date. It is, however already available at Best Buy for about $450.
The Acer Iconia is a decent tablet with features like Android 3.0 Honeycomb, a 10.1 inch display, a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera, an Nvidia Tegra dual-core Cortex-A9 1 GHZ processor with a low powered Ge-Force GPU, 16GB of internal memory with 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microSD expansion, HDMI output and a 3290mAH battery.
Let’s see how long it takes to reach the Indian market.

Acer announces new Android 2.2 based smartphone - Acer Liquid Metal

Acer has officially launched an android 2.2 powered smart phone. The Acer Liquid Metal is a slick looking smart phone with a metal casing. The design is striking and the phone feels good in the hand as it has a curved back. Stainless steel is used and the phone is pretty strong and sturdy, and the chrome finish gives a nice styling to the phone. The phone designed keeping in mind the standard of smart phones these days. Liquid Metal also won the Japan's Good Design Award for its well designed product feature. Available in Silver, Brown and Tiffany Blue, the Acer Liquid Metal is bound to impress the tech- savvy, style conscious consumer. Acer Liquid Metal is priced at about Rs. 20,500.

The Acer Liquid Metal is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Core processor which clocks at 800 MHz and performs exceptionally great providing smooth performance and quick response. The screen is a large 3.6 inch TFT capacitive touch screen having multi-touch and a resolution of 480x800 pixels. There is also a small led in the top that reminds users of missed calls, text messages and need of battery charge, pretty neat I must say. It is 3G enabled and provides speeds of 14.4Mbps at HSDPA. There is also onboard Wi-Fi providing high speed internet claimed to provide 10 times more speed than previous devices. A jumbo 1500mAh battery provides a good backup of 550 hours in standby and 8 hours in talk time. A 5 megapixel snapper with an LED flash provides decent pictures and records video at 720p HD. There are also 4 function keys below the touch screen providing basic functions of the phone.
A new interface is embedded called the Breeze which is said to run applications more efficiently and smoothly. Breeze has a customisable home screen and user can change the applications according to their needs. Users can also view information on the phone without having to unlock the phone. The Breeze is not being called as a widget organiser, rather it is being called a new way to utilise android.
